Following on fro refusing to give interviews, and black listing channel 4 the moment they decided to fact-check and call out lies.

Another attempted nail in the coffin of a free and fair press.

And it can surprise precisely nobody. Conservative voters actively voted in favour of this!

Even the sun walked out, if BoJo doesn't get the message from that I don't know what will. Good to see that even pro-Tory right leaning outlets like them and the telegraph stood up, shows the UK isn't nearly as far gone as America yet. Even if it's prompted by a negative thing this is relatively good to see.

I know most will be bots and/or edgelord trolls but the comments under that tweet are depressing
The person who responded with the telegraph article when the telegraph was one of the paper's to walk out was pretty funny in a really sad and depressing way.

The 2019 index is also available....USA moved up to 15, just behind the UK at 14....my lovely South Africa is 64 or 65.........

As an American, I don't think being ranked #15 is anything to be proud of. With all of our resources we should be in the Top 10, at least.

Especially as the President is supposed to be the leader of the free world.

I do hate that phrase. Nothing but propaganda.

So about Iowa....
Well it'll be forgotten about if Super Tuesday goes down fine. But honestly unlike 2016 where I could not conceive it happening I'm expecting Trump to win, things have become too entrenched and it'll take a different kind of republican candidate to change things.

Did a delegate really get decided by coin toss?

Apparently so

The Minnesota legislator was tied with Sen. Elizabeth Warren, of Massachusetts, with 19 votes each at an Iowa Falls precinct with 62 voters present, leading to a coin toss to determine who would get the extra delegate, according to Sara Baranowski, editor of the Iowa Falls Times-Citizen.

#democracy

But apparently Hilary Clinton beat Bernie Sanders with 6 coin tosses in 2016

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/...wins-six-delegates-by-coin-toss-a6848126.html

A coin toss was used to decide whether Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders won at six precincts in the Iowa caucus.

Ms Clinton won six county delegates through coin tosses in Newton, Ames, West Branch and Davenport, as well as two precints in Des Moines, the Des Moines Register reported.

Coin tosses have been a thing in Iowa for awhile.

why we let a **** state like Iowa be important I'll never know.

republicans should be out there saying something along the lines of "why should you trust a party who can't even hold a caucus correctly"

trump's only good tweets in while in office. Makes up for the fact he said Kansas City was in Kansas after the super bowl.

Bloomberg buying his way into the ring is... weird.

Is there any chance he might actually get the nom?
He's rich enough to play dirty and not have to worry about sponsors/donators not liking it, but beyond his name I know literally nothing about the man.
Looks like another rich guy wanting to play at politics.

bloomberg has no chance. IDK what he's doing but i doubt he would put his money behind a candidate who could win so who cares.

Luckily this gaffe was at the beginning of election season. Hopefully people will forget about it by November.

Democrats doing everything they can to keep Trump in power.

Although in fairness if they're incompetent enough to lose to him twice it's probably for the best they aren't leading the world's largest economy.

Eh you introduce any new system its likely to go belly up that just how these things work, Their big mistake is introducing it in such a high profile situation.
