I know what's wrong with schools. Not enough guns!
I know what's wrong with the Middle East. Not enough enriched uranium!
What's next?
I know what's wrong with Australia. Not enough deadly fauna!

arming teachrs is madness but having an armed guard at every school can be done, we do it to protect money , are we saying our children are less valuable?

John Major, who risked a great deal to lay the foundations of the Good Friday Agreement, has spoken in favour of another vote on Brexit. Presumably, among other impending disasters, he doesn't want to see the GFA wrecked by Brexit. I know it's been twenty years, but surely most people can remember the blood bath that NI caused in our country, and have no wish to return to those days. Presumably IDS, Owen Patterson and Bojo are hoping people have short memories when they did the GFA, because it stands in the way of the nirvana - Brexit.

A lot of inner city schools already have them. Apparently the school in Florida had armed personnel around the school.

I just don't think one undertrained armed dude is going to be able to take on a dude with a semi-automatic weapon.

And in America yes, everything is less valuable than money.

Let the EU decide that one, if they want to interfere.

As far as I can tell, there is no large desire in either nation (though there are smaller splinter groups) to return to The Troubles. Therefore, no need for a hard border.

If the EU are that concerned about the lack of a physical border, and do not like the way the UK is going about it, then let them have it their way and at least somebody will be happy. The Republic can't then blame Theresa May.

But it's not the EU it's the UK. The UK don't want a border where EU goods and services can enter the UK without some check. to say nothing of people. It's us that chose to leave, not them who want us to leave.
I've crossed the border from Derry into Donegal, apart from the road signs being in KM you couldn't tell you'd crossed a border. According to the Today programme this morning, in the old days it could sometimes take up to three hours.

Yeah an armed security guard on minimum wage armed with a hand gun trying to stop a crazy bloke with a AR-15? Yeah most police officers wouldnt want to confront such situation as we saw in Florida. Its not medal of Honour...

It used to be very difficult at times to get across. A hard border would absolutely see a return to conflict in the north, the fact it was even being entertained is another one of countless examples of a conservative government not giving a **** about NI. Coveney and Varadkar saved May from a lot of blood on her hands.

i read a few interviews recently of men who have been sexually assaulted according to the meaning of the word and raped by women....loads of famous men have been groped or sexually assaulted by women. the stones in their hey day had all their clothes ripped off many times as did tom jones, peter andre, that bloke from coronation street in the jungle said he was in a service station with his kids and a bus load of drunken women pulled up and 2 grabbed and stroked his cock inside the shop in front of his young kids....men dont complain they dont really see it as something as deathly serious. but its high time they did complain. especilaly when it gets complex imagine a woman grabs your privates and the celebrity responds in kind and she then reports him as sexually asaulting her and sues for money too...thats his reputation and career destroyed regardless of fact or context or guilt or anything else. be careful guys , dont assault anyone , but also be very careful whenever you touch a woman in any capacity until you are 1 million percent certain thats exactly what she and you want.

Thoughts on the massive Trump U-turn on guns? Basically saying that he doesn't care about gun rights, just "take their guns away" "go to court later"?

Must be getting pressure from someone in the background.

Or maybe if hes harder on guns more nutjobs join the NRA and they kick him back some more cash.

True, it was very funny the way that mike pence tried to make it seem less radical and Trump basically said stfu

Watch what Trump does and not what he says/tweets.

Trump was in Mexico once talking about how great Mexicans were and a few hours later back in the USA calling Mexicans murderers, rapists, drugs dealers and banging on about the wall. His words mean nothing.
