A lot of inner city schools already have them. Apparently the school in Florida had armed personnel around the school.arming teachers is madness but having an armed guard at every school can be done, we do it to protect money , are we saying our children are less valuable?
John Major, who risked a great deal to lay the foundations of the Good Friday Agreement, has spoken in favour of another vote on Brexit. Presumably, among other impending disasters, he doesn't want to see the GFA wrecked by Brexit. I know it's been twenty years, but surely most people can remember the blood bath that NI caused in our country, and have no wish to return to those days. Presumably IDS, Owen Patterson and Bojo are hoping people have short memories when they did the GFA, because it stands in the way of the nirvana - Brexit.

But it's not the EU it's the UK. The UK don't want a border where EU goods and services can enter the UK without some check. to say nothing of people. It's us that chose to leave, not them who want us to leave.Let the EU decide that one, if they want to interfere.
As far as I can tell, there is no large desire in either nation (though there are smaller splinter groups) to return to The Troubles. Therefore, no need for a hard border.
If the EU are that concerned about the lack of a physical border, and do not like the way the UK is going about it, then let them have it their way and at least somebody will be happy. The Republic can't then blame Theresa May.
Yeah an armed security guard on minimum wage armed with a hand gun trying to stop a crazy bloke with a AR-15? Yeah most police officers wouldnt want to confront such situation as we saw in Florida. Its not medal of Honour...arming teachers is madness but having an armed guard at every school can be done, we do it to protect money , are we saying our children are less valuable?
It used to be very difficult at times to get across. A hard border would absolutely see a return to conflict in the north, the fact it was even being entertained is another one of countless examples of a conservative government not giving a **** about NI. Coveney and Varadkar saved May from a lot of blood on her hands. But it's not the EU it's the UK. I've crossed the border from Derry into Donegal, apart from the road signs being in KM you couldn't tell you'd crossed a border. According to the Today programme this morning, in the old days it could sometimes take up to three hours.
So giving teachers guns then....
I know what's wrong with schools. Not enough guns!
I know what's wrong with the Middle East. Not enough enriched uranium!
What's next?
I know what's wrong with Australia. Not enough deadly fauna!
True, it was very funny the way that mike pence tried to make it seem less radical and Trump basically said stfuMust be getting pressure from someone in the background.
Or maybe if hes harder on guns more nutjobs join the NRA and they kick him back some more cash.
Thoughts on the massive Trump U-turn on guns? Basically saying that he doesn't care about gun rights, just "take their guns away" "go to court later"?
