Rather than people spouting stuff like electric cars pollute more in their production and destruction than a petrol/diesel car will in its lifetime on the roads I'd like to see some actual peer reviewed evidence that this is the case everything I've ever heard is friend of a friend stuff.
Still there are other factors that just says not to encorage buying new cars to replace the old ones but to gradually replace them as the old ones become unusable.
Whilst the electricity created is done by fossil fuels which is more energy efficient ie which burns the most fuel. This probably thek key factor in which is actually better over everything else and I don't think anyone has a direct answer.
Either way I'm all up for trying to convince people to reduce urban pollution through vheicles it'll be years before it happens. But it will vastly improve the quality of air in those areas and power stations tend to be quite remote.
