Imagine having a head that large and only using the central 10% to put all the features.

You have a point.

My experience of contracts in the armed forces is that the contractors are good at writing contracts and the forces are good at not reading them, signing them and then going over budget as they are too committed to do anything else.

The MoD procurement team is shocking from the when I've dealt with them as an engineer in what they allow companies to get away with. Incredibly ill-defined requirements usually written by the third party and a lack support to make product fit for use is where it all fails. As the product meets the requirements huge amounts in support is required to make it actually useful.

It was all incredibly depressing to work as I and my fellow engineers wanted to produce something useful not something that met the contract.

That's completely the opposite attitude that I picked up from the BAE people I spoke to, who seemed happy to knowingly work to contract and then charge more for the actual desired product....

Oh, and then boast about it.

The amount of disruption around where I live for HS2 is unreal, and now they're extending it?
D*ckheads
Same around here.

We've had protestors dug out of tunnels under ancient woodland and now have miles and miles of heras fencing around dug up fields. All for nothing it seems.

No you see - Linekar's not allowed his speech, under free speech absolutist reckonings.

Besides, he was right - which is why it's upsetting for her.
Remember, we now live in a world where calling someone a nazi is worse than being a nazi. Saying that someone is using nazi-adjacent language is worse than using nazi-adjacent language. Saying that the PM deliberately misled parliament is worse than the PM deliberately misleading parliament. etc etc

I heard there was one year when you RAF lads didn't get your Harrods hampers for Christmas.

It's alway the ones who moan most about a so called lack of freedom of speech and this cancel culture who try and cancel anyone who's speech isn't in line with their own.
