It's all because the extremists have threatened McCarthy's position as speaker if he doesn't pander to them and threatened to derail any budget talks without impeachment stuff (and/or defunding all investigations into Trump). This will likely go the same way as the Bill Clinton impeachment and turn even more people against the Republicans as the lunatic tail wags the majority dog. Republicans could grow a spine and take a hit now standing up the the MAGA morons, or they can triple or quadruple down and suffer for years to come.Real issue of politics today, you go after someone for legitimate law breaking and they try a both sides arguement.

A given that there's alien life not too far away? Really? What evidence is there for that or anything you've said?To be honest, there has been quite a bit of stuff released fairly recently* about alien/UFOs. You'd almost think there was some collusion going on and various govts were building up to something.
But then, you look at the shambles of the world and think "nah", they couldn't organise a ****-up in a brewery never mind that.
At this point, I'm taking it as a given that (i) there is alien life not too far away in the cosmos and (ii) it has visited earth.
*of particular note being the US Navy's own HUD cam releases of airborne craft with performance so far beyond their own it wouldn't have been terrestrial.
So the JWST has found a potential planet with life a mere 120 light years away.A given that there's alien life not too far away? Really? What evidence is there for that or anything you've said?

Tantalising sign of possible life on faraway world
Nasa's James Webb Telescope may have discovered a molecule thought only to be produced by life.www.bbc.co.uk
120 light years in astronomical terms is nothing, about 0.1% of the diameter of the milky way. Hence my "not too far away".
Then the USN videos:
Thats CNBC - you'll find the same on loads of reputable outlets. Or direct from the DoD if you want:
Statement by the Department of Defense on the Release of Historical Navy Videos
The Department of Defense has authorized the release of three unclassified Navy videos, one taken in November 2004 and the other two in January 2015, which have been circulating in the public domainwww.defense.gov
Videos at bottom of that last link.
I wouldn't. If history has taught us anything, it's that when a more advanced civilization meets a less advanced one, it never ends well for the latter. If aliens exist and are visiting us, chances are we are ******.So not only are you sure aliens are not too far away and have visited earth you also know where they're from and they're from this planet? Mmmmm, I think I'll wait and see further evidence of this other than maybe they've found a molecule on another planet 120 light years away.
Have the navy and whoever else all come out and said these videos are alien spacecraft and what not. As far as I'm aware they haven't and poor quality videos that we don't necessarily 100% have an explanation for isn't really proof of the things you seem pretty certain on. There's that saying that goes extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence and it seems your bar is quite low. But hey, I'd love for you to be right and hopefully some concrete stuff comes out soon.
He said several times - "our understanding of physics today".I'm pretty confident that no aliens have ever visited Earth nor ever will. Travelling faster than light, which is pretty much a requirement, creates causality paradoxes. I remember watching videos that explained it fairly intuitively:

Ok then, let's say an alien civilization is advanced enough to master faster than light travel, why would they be crashing on Earth or flying a few hundred metres above the ground? We have sent people to the moon and got them back ok and we don't need to be in craft visible to the naked eye to observe our surface. Hell, we can make a pretty good estimate of the makeup of planet atmospheres light years away. That's with our "extremely immature" knowledge. I also find the contradiction of an unfathomably advanced alien civilization that is also unfathomable prone to crashes (always small crash with 1 or 2 aliens) something that is consistently glossed over.He said several times - "our understanding of physics today".
We don't even know why the universe is continuing to accelerate further apart. We've hand waving postulations on dark matter. I expect our knowledge is extremely immature.
I asked you what evidence you had for there being life (implied in the question was life capable of space travel but not specified admittedly) not too far away and you posted that bbc article. I took that to mean these aliens that have visited Earth have come from there or are there any other planets or evidence you're aware of that would suport your initial claim? No, I've only said there may be life on a planet a mere 120 light years from earth. Don't put words in my mouth.
I've made absolutely no inferences as to whether its single cell or advanced civilisation.
No they haven't. They've just said they are unexplained.
IMO they are not poor quality - and you have professional aviators in high performance aircraft well aware they are witnessing something beyond their own aircraft's capabilities.
If you are looking for ET to take out a double-page spread in most broadsheets, then your probably never going to have the "proof" you want unless they decide to do as Ragey says*.
*as a counter to that - aliens would probably have **** all interest in earth beyond it being a home to 7 billion vaguely interesting primative lab rats. You'll get all the material you want from asteroids.
