A Political Thread pt. 2

These people act like animals over bloody PS5s? Do Americans no look at their utterly insane need to buy stuff with shame?

So fine to have a judge in Florida, whom he appointed, try the case on retaining classified documents, but not ok to have a judge appointed by Obama in the case on election fraud. Yet another one of Trump's hypocrisies.

Looks like the heritage trust should really have had this as a listed building - don't really understand how it wasn't given it was built in 1765, is pretty unique and clearly of cultural significance to the area.

Crooked House

Also would appear very much to be a dirty developer trying to both wipe out the land for a new estate and make a fake insurance claim at the same time.

Kinda interesting really how Huw Edwards and Phillip Schofield were both subject to intense media criticism for their choice of relationships. Whilst as far as I'm aware there was no criminality in either case, the morality and potential abuse of power in both was concerning. Dan Wootton on the other hand engaged in actions even less moral and looking like they could be actually criminal and barely a peep. Admittedly he is a much smaller media "personality" than the other 2 but he made a career out of attacking such people.

GB News as a whole needs to be put under proper scrutiny. They have multiple sitting MPs as hosts on their show (which is supposed to be against Parliamentary rules), they have taken no action against what could look like criminal behaviour by a presenter and generally are dragging the already poor political discourse in this country through the mud. They cannot claim to be anything except a far right talk show, a poor imitation of Fox. Is that really what we as a country want to sink to?

That was my immediate reaction when I first heard of the incident. Too much of a coincidence. I am sure they will will investigate.

I'm sure it is too. Being ready to demolish it within like a day as well as earth piled up stopping the fire engines reaching the scene. Depends on what laws are broken. If it's not a protected building then while they may get fined or more they could well not be asked to rebuild it.

I was thinking about the insurance company will want it before it pays out.

So what exactly is she advocating here? End child hunger, or literally starve asylum seekers to death while the UK government ignores their applications and ignores the starvation of kids with parents on benefits (or working gig economy)?

I'm pretty sure her point is "poor people should be fighting poorer people over pennies, and not looking at me and mine creaming off the billions"

Like everything it's part of the narrative to create an 'enemy' as to why people are poor and starving. Can't blame it on those in charge as that would mean taking responsibility and might end up with the poor realising how much they are being shafted by the rich. Instead let's blame it on someone else. Problem is they are trying to blame it on 'illegal migration' when actually the majority are asylum seekers, some of whom came here legally. However, that is too nuanced for most people to understand. I do wonder who they will target next though as they seem to be running out of people.

The other one is "first safe country", knowing full well that translates to "none here".

Tests were done before they were put on the boat.

Wonder if a dodgy Tory donor was given the task of renovating the barge
