A Political Thread pt. 2

Yes she is owed a big apology for telling the truth.

And that's the problem with his supporters looking past the lies because he has "charisma".

And in doing so breaches the ministerial code.
And, as with his previous breaches, he will face no punishment of any consequence. The ministerial code is a joke and needs to be scrapped and replaced with something that has some actual consequences attached to it.

The whole system based around convention and a 'gentleman's agreement' to follow the rules needs to be scrapped. Conservatives and especially Boris Johnson have made a complete mockery of it and shown just how worthless it is and how much corruption it allows them to get away with.

God she's useless and highlights so many problems with this government.

Honestly I could pick apart so much.

To start completely unaware of prostitution websites being used to pimp trafficked victims of modern slavery.
Refusing to admit that these victims would be arrested and that unless they help the police investigation they would not be protected under the modern slavery act.
Can't give an economic impact assessment because they have rushed through the bill and have no idea what will actually happen.
Accusing the committee of cherry picking facts when she and the prime minister use one particular definition of 'backlog' to justify their claim that the backlog is reducing, even when it is actually increasing as a whole.
Doesn't have up to date figures yet claims they will meet targets.

Politicians really are **** these days.

Rod Stewart has a history of womanising and has eight children with different women. Sound familiar? He's also a multi millionaire and is likely unfamiliar with having to wait to see an NHS consultant or the cost of living crisis. It's perhaps no surprise that he can relate to someone like Johnson as opposed to someone who is actually capable of doing the job of PM.

It's really not difficult to fix. They should come out of the dark ages and mirror what an employee has to do when working for an employer. HR normally issues a code of conduct as well as training on various policies and guidelines. Any breaches or instances of non compliance is subject to disciplinary action. It's clear that conventions have been used to allow shady politicians to wriggle out of difficult situations and basically get away with murder.

Scrap convention and make it a rule that any change in leader mid term automatically triggers a GE. It's just wrong that Tory party members can hand pick the leader of this country. The first party that promises both these things will get my vote.

If only more journalists were on board with this idea of not letting MPs get away with talking absolute crap and calling out their lies and hypocrisy.

Not at all. I find it all pretty pathetic and unsurprising so I like to make derisive jokes about how different sects of Christianity are willing to intimidate and killl each other. You never know, maybe Jesus will put some things straight upon his return.

They were just bullying Cnuts looking for an excuse to rag on someone. A power trip if you like. Experienced it myself recently. Look at it closely and it has nothing really to do with religion or Christianity.
