My cousin has a PHd in Astrophysics. He's an officer in the army.A little surprised at that - Maths seems like the kind of degree that would lead quite heavily into teaching (I did Biology and unless you wanted to go the Masters/PhD route pretty much the only thing you could use your degree for was to go into teaching)
