Not sure I agree that Hunt is behind this. If he is then I think it's a mistake. The government is in chaos and the last thing it needs is a coup from the inside. All it does is divide the party further and add to the image that this government is incompetent. If anything it sounds like it's Braverman's excuse to quit, possibly even on purpose to put pressure on Truss for what she sees as a betrayal of promises.

Honestly though how long can Truss survive before the party goes into a civil war?

This is likely her play to be PM before the end of the year. I'm starting to think Truss is some kind of Manchurian Candidate put into deep cover from her Lib Dem days to make the Tories unelectable for the period of the average attention span of a Tory voter.
