Stop being so bitter and enjoy the bloody rugby, because I sure have, and definitely hope that the Lions make a big match of it for the last match, would love to see them go out with a ***anic game.[/b]

Three Cheers for rugby!

:bravo: :bravo: :bravo:

Yeah really, three commandments of rugby ;) ;)

On ROG? O'Gara just pussied out, he was in the toilet tackle position falling backwards before Fourie even hit him, still doesn't change the fact that he shouldn't have been in that position, if it was Roberts/BOD/Hook/Earls/D'arcy/Flutey making the tackle it wouldn't have been a try.

Why is Ellis on the bench anyway? He has played a combined total of 0 minutes in both tests, Shane on the bench to cover SH, Hook and D'arcy/Earls is much better and covers way more positions.

9. Phillips
10. Jones
11. Fitz
12. O'Gara
13. Bowe (who did very well at centre IMO, If BOD is out I'd start him there next week)
14. Williams
15. Kearney

Is what finished the match, Doesn't inspire confidence does it?

Firstly, well done and thanks to the Lions. The last 2 games have been epic, well contested, & 'on edge of your seat' rugby. Thoroughly enjoyed the games, and the victories of course! ;)

To the Boks, lets make it 3-0!
Feels great to have the series wrapped up with 1 game to go. Hopefully P Divvy will use the next game to open the running game up a bit (just a bit!) and test having M.Steyn as a starting 10. M.Steyn is obviously in form at the moment but Pienaar should still be 1st choice for the TriNations though. I'd really like to see Steyn play a whole game at Test level before making him 1st choice.

I said he hasn't before but Burger let the Boks down yesterday. What an idiot. Eye gouging like that is cowardly. He played **** and should of never been there. He should miss the TN due to the ban which will force P Divvy to play Brussow. It's funny how his hand is being forced all the time, but it's for the greater good every time. As he would say: That's how the cookie crumbles.

Overall I was happy with the Boks play yesterday. Clinical and clever. Fourie's try was absolutely top draw, what a player! Begs the question again, why isn't he starting? And Brussow proved his worth once again and will be the 1st choice 6 for the Boks come TN's time.
The Boks were looking more gelled this time around but again our ball retention was poor. NZ & Oz are gonna hammer us if we don't sort that out. I still think SA players are not accurate enough at the breakdown when we're in possession. It could be to impose a quicker service from the scrummie but we tend to not focus on the protecting our ball sometimes. A little balance is needed there.

Scrums are not looking too bad but they're not looking great either. BEAST!!! is a fantastic player and at 23 he is young for an International loosehead. He has learnt invaluable lessons on this tour, not only of where he's at himself but what is needed against the best scrummagers in the world. I think his core (abdominal) strength is not up to scratch for a prop at this level. Hopefully he'll use this tour as a benchmark for himself. My words probably would of have been much harsher if Adams stayed on, he was giving Beast a lesson before he got injured. Unfortunate from a Lions perspective.
But again John Smit(The Man; Captain Supreme; The Diplomat) was more than solid at tighthead. Good call from P Divvy there for once. HOWEVER we still have better tightheads than Smit. I'm not 100% convinced that Bismarck is a better hooker than Smit either. He has been off form lately so maybe a bit of patience is needed.

Anyway, we're looking good for the TN for the most part. We're a better team with Frans Steyn starting ever game, may it long continue! That's until he leaves for France anyway...

A fantastic series so far and although we've lost both Test matches they've both been desperately close and show the Lions are more than able to compete.

Compare the two Test scores so far; 26-21 and 28-25 with the first two Tests of the last tour; 21-3 and 48-18.

Yes, all us British-and-Irish want a Lions win but none of us want to see the Lions thrashed as we were 4 years ago and far from showing the Lions are a busted flush, this series has shown the Lions are back as a credible force.

Whichever side you were cheering on yesterday, no-one can say they weren't royally entertained by an epic game.

Can't help but point out that 2 of our regular Saracens fans (prestiwick and Ginger Genius) have been replaced by an influx of South Africans...

Several points;

1. Burger was lucky only to get a yellow. If that wasn't only 32 seconds into the game, I would imagine Sir would have imposed his authority in a much more severe manner.
2. Speaking of whom, Sir had an excellent game.
3. The Lions were actually excellent up until the scrums went uncontested - While Shaun Edwards was loving having just that bit extra Wasps influence on the match, everyone else died inside when that really rather excellent battle up front came to pass.
4. Shaw should have gone into the bin for that High tackle.
5. Kearney was easily the MOTM.
6. Ronan O'Choke proved once and for all that he is an over-rated ********, incapable of intelligent play or a running game. When you are playing to save the series with 30 seconds to go, everybody knows you do NOT kick the f***ing ball away when the opposition have anyone who can land a penalty/DG from anywhere. Completely indefensible actions.
7. The match, despite that American *****' last minute f***-up, was a wonderful spectacle and a great advert for the sport.

Well done to the boks.

I hope this game forces the IRB to let teams have 8 subs so they can cover all the front row plus all other positions. Uncontested scrums are a joke.[/b]
I agree. Add to that an option whereby if your last frontrow forward has to go off "injured" and there are no replacement frontrowers left, there can be uncontested scrums but a replacement can't be brought on ie the team must continue with just 14 players.

Agreed whatever the result this has been a thoroughly enoyable series to watc even the warm up games were good (maily cos we won most of em). Brings be to mind of the 2001 tour which was good to watch.

Yeah right and Lions stood though against SA in previus two matches

BIg probability for Lions to win next the final match if they keep playing in the same soul

One thing is for sure, and this isn't just bitterness, SA lost a lot of admirers for their brand of performance after that second half.

So you reckon the Lions played clean? Take off the one eyed goggles.

I had so many things to say after the game but I just didn't find the words to express... How amazing you are Springboks!
no comment really! I'd better keep my comments to myself for now.

How amazing they relied on our four key players coming off to win the match?

That was it really. If if's and but's and whatever, but uncontested scrums lost us the game. Brussow was excellent. Fourie played well, but calling a charge on the worst defensive flyhalf in the universe 'awesome' is a tad exaggerated.

If our four broken players come back fit next week, and the morale hasn't been too broken, we'll win.
The side that started the test was better than South Africa.

Pretty sure I read the Proppies are out and BOD can't play as he got a concussion and they have to rest him for at least 2 weeks or something. So yeah, poo.

The BIL Lions landed in SA and have been saying how they are going to beat SA but will be going home as series losers end of. The 1997 tour the BIL lost by a try count of 9-3 and the Boks lost the second test after having missed 6 pen & con but still lost. You guys still carry on like the BIL smashed the Boks.

As the old saying goes IF my aunty had balls she would be my uncle.

Don't make things up. Nobody thought that the Lions would ever win this series. The fact we came so close, and had the Saffas hanging on by the skin of their teeth at times, is quite astonishing.

I'm willing to bet that Dde Villers or Smit, or any member of the Springboks leadership, amitted they where shaken at half-time, and just highlights the players who where good, (Adam Jones, Gethin Jenkins, Jamie Roberts, Brian O'Drsicall, Tommy Bowe) and went for the dirtiest hits they could possibly use in order to immobilise the Lions.

Look at who was performing well in the first half, then look at the injury list. It's surely not a coincidence. Kearney was lucky to get out unharmed.
