[2025 Six Nations] Italy vs Wales - 08/02/25

The weather is keeping this below a 40 point loss. Italy haven't been great, missed kicks etc. but are still cruising in appalling weather!

I refuse to blame a 10 playing out of position
It's not like we are blaming the player for looking poor, he's doing his best in a situation that he simply shouldn't be in. Edwards already looking a step up in class, surely you can see that?

Of course I do. Wanted Edwards to start all along. We've still done nothing in attack though because our shape is all over the place

Don't disagree with you, but it's all on Gats for me. I refuse to blame a 10 playing out of position in a backline that doesn't have a clue what they're doing. It's a selection and coaching issue, plain and simple. Blaming Thomas is passing thr buck.
Don't get me wrong, until this game I don't think Gats was the issue, but selecting Thomas over and over regardless of how bad he is, the idea Tompkins is anything other than foder, the leaving of Llewellyn out, and Anscombe and we need him gone...

The return of Howley was an insult to every welsh person, letting Sean Edward's go was an insult

Much as I say Carley in a one eyed twat, his comms to players is pretty good. Nothing major today at all.

I think Italy are looking like a very good, disciplined team, doing exactly what the established 6N sides did to them in the past. Keep it simple, win collisions and the tight, decent set piece, take points on offer and build a lead. That puts pressure on Wales, hunt the inevitable mistakes, play territory and try to go when it's on.
