[2024 Six Nations] Italy vs England - 03/02/24

I dont know id just say he hasnt been terrible imo, that was a beyond stupid dont get me wrong.
From memory, wasn't it him dashing out of line to alow the first talian try?*
Certainly him playing like an OC not a winger for the 2nd Italian try.
Then that Yellow.

Whilst there must have been some, I can't recall any particularly good play from him to make up for those. Also a lack of other contenders for England's worst.

* I absloutely reserve the right to be wrong - it was a couple of hours ago, and my brain is mostly poison at the moment.

I thought England looked very comfortable from the 30th minute onward. Even though we were down at the time, felt comfortable we would win. First 10 minutes were rusty and looked concerning. Especially defense.

Noticed a few more playing phases in the game. Mostly good kicking by England in the game as well. Italy barely did anything in the 2nd half. Thanks to the England kicking making sure they didn't get much good territory in the 2nd half.

Italy a case of some good stuff, but not consistent enough. Handling errors started creeping in as the game went on.

Defense after the kick needs improvement.

Yet again laughable defence around the fringes. That's not just poor, we consistently made the same error over and over and over. That means it's the system. The defence coach needs to be ******* sacked.

Some bright sparks in that, great to see Freeman playing like Freeman but in an England shirt
Slade looking good,
Mitchell played well despite obviously being far from 100%

My concern is that the 1 in the dub column is going to paper over how poor our defence was, and just generally how far off the pace the side is - kicking wasn't as bad as it has been bit Italy's attack put us to shame

Italy played a good first half, deserved lead. Left it in the dressing room for second half. England meh throughout.
