[2022 Six Nations] Ireland vs Italy (27/02/22)

I thought the Italian was dipping slightly. Pity it was a red

Ridiculous by Doris.

We seem very disorganised, not sure if it's all the changes or no Sexton.

Uncontested scrums, no lineout, a man down
What's the point in this game anymore
Just call it a 5pt walkover and let everyone get on with their Sunday

13 players for the rest of the match? Pointless game now

FTFY

Ref is right, 13 men is the law.

First time I've seen it in action for more than a couple of minutes.

Suspect that if Italy were more up on the laws, one of the bench props would have suddenly remembered playing hooker at age-grade.

Game over (as if it wasn't already)

Not too sure about the red. Sheehan dips and the Italian wraps. We now have the farcical situation where Italy are down to 13 for an hour. That's rubbish. And I'm an Ireland fan.

POM mouthing off at the Italian player/staff as if this isn't an absolutely ridiculous situation

And can the ref just order 8 off the pitch like that, surely Italy have the choice

Completely uninterested in this now. This helps no one.

I don't understand why it's not still 14. I thought they'd bring a prop on for another player, I have no idea why it's down to 13 in terms of logic…

I get they have to play a front row don't get why they have to drop to 13....the law is a complete arse here.

The idea is meant to be because you're forcing uncontested scrums. Have seen it happen once at club level but yeah not mad on it. Especially at pro level.

I think it's more of a weird interplay of laws here though. I think it was to stop teams who are getting mullered in the scrums just faking injuries until they get uncontested scrums and having an extra back row on the pitch.
