[2020 Autumn Nations Cup] Wales vs England (28/11/20)

Seriously, this is horrible stuff. England were meant to put 6 tries and 50 points on the worst Welsh team for 30 years. Awful.

Is it?
In the league Farrell hasn't gotten a better strike rate to Ford since Ford moved to Tigers
I could be imagining it but hasn't there been a few occasions when Ford has missed a sitter or two and shot his confidence for the entirety of a game?

Underhill has really stepped up. It would be better if there was more genuine competition for places across the sqaud.

Daft thing is that in the first half there were a few signs that we were trying to be a bit more ambitious. We then started to get a nosebleed and reverted to type.

Result was never really in doubt, but again pretty mediocre and the team is definitely less than the sum of its parts - that's the bit that really annoys me.

They were the right decisions. Bigger was tackled in the air and the scrum penalties were very much in Englands favour
Were they? Wales won a penalty from an accidental offside from a kick chase. Dived in on Daly dangerously at the ruck. Next phase, pen and 3 points to Wales.

The Wales try hit biggars foot then hand, so a knock on.

Wales didn't get the rub in the first half, but the decisions in the 2nd were certainly not in England's favour.

Poite didn't affect the result.

No he didn't but felt they didn't get the rub of the green in the scrums but its Wales and England won so I'm not that precious

Seeing a lot of comments about the performance being an improvement for Wales and while in some ways it was, such as defence looking a bit better, they realistically never looked like winning. You take out Slade's stupid kick and it's only 2 penalties. LRZ looked a bit dangerous on the wing, but that was it. I don't see where Wales are going to score points from against better sides with decent defenses. Even Italy might fancy them now if they can defend well for 80 mins.

Let's look positively.

1) We beat Wales.
2) We beat them relatively comfortably considering we played badly.
3) Wales are now ****.
I suspect you are fishing but I'll have a nibble...
Why is it a positive Wales are now ****? Does it make you feel more comfortable the country of your birth has a better chance against the country of my birth?
Personally I like it when there is serious competition from all 6N teams.

Still trying to work out exactly what the penalty was for when Daly tried to tackle the player catching the ball but couldn't because a Welsh player was blocking him...

Don't believe this for a second,
If England had a run of form like this then Wales fans would be laughing themselves silly
I suspect some (maybe most) will. I said 'personally' as in my point of view. But it still doesn't answer why it makes you happy that Wales are ATM crap?

Fell asleep watching this game. Gonna have to watch the highlights later.

was it really that bad a game?
