Agreed; Robshaw & Underhill is the best we've got for now.
Once we've got a little more choice (and experience into the youngsters) then we should chose one of them; and put Simmonds or Curry on the open side.
Willis is this month's overhyped messiah; as with the likes of Itoje and Slade - let's let him actually acheive something, and have a chance to overcome / not suffer Second Season Syndrome before throwing him into international waters. He's coming to club rugby just a little too late for RWC consideration; but comes into the mix in the post-RWC rebuild. Of course, if he has no dip in form whatsoever in the next 12 months; then we could consider taking him as a bit of a bolter into an established backrow. Unfortunately, we won't have an established OSF to pair him with; Alongside Robshaw and Billy/Nathan, we've room to experiment in the 7 shirt; but Robshaw Willis looks even less balanced than Robshaw Underhill to my eyes (admittedly, with limited viewing of Willis yet). Away from the RWC, I've no problem using the 7 shirt to get a 6 used to international rugby; the close we get though, the more I want people in the right shirts. Currently, we're wasting time putting locks at 6 and blind-sides on the open (or 8)
Lozowsksi's best position? 22 shirt for now. Best positions are always compromised by club requirements too; which will probably see Loz specialising as an IC (or even OC) as Barritt ages and Faz and Goode are undroppable at 10 and 15.
Equally, I always felt Faz's best position would be 12, but injury crisis followed by media hype had him in the 10 shirt until he'd forgotten how to play IC (he's doing a good job of remembering now).
Cokanasiga for Irish? who can tell? he's playing on the wing for the relegation fodder team - not the best place to put yourself in the shop window. I can't see him dropping down to the championship this time though; he's got an outside chance at a RWC spot if he's performing in the Prem (he'll need injuries; but take out one of Nowell/May/Watson, and someone's going - Roko is out of favour, Solomona's flakey, Yarde needs an attitude adjusmtent; so we're chosing between Earle and Cokanasiga. They're equally experienced; whilst Joe's 3 years younger, 10kg heavier and 10cm taller, offering more of a carrying threat than anyone else in contention (assuming Roko isn't actually in contention). Joe's got a USP, and for my money, that puts him ahead of the competition.
