I'm really proud of m'y team, we predicted hell to them but they resisted.
5th yes, but I see some good things, I think France will scare in the near futur

Well done England, defo the best team of the tournament, congratulations !

I will still stay on my position that Owens makes it easy in the first 25 minutes for England (half of the England points) but it does not change finally the outcome of this match.

France sadly is far far away in terms of everything, I do not see us doing anything good in the next 3-4 years, we need a new generation of players that have the stamina that the british have, lots of our players were just burned too quickly and some are too average players to compete at this level. The few players that are doing a good match today (and who have the stamina) are our "imported" players (spedding, Vakatawa, Le roux...)

Still a bit of positive with this time, some attack moves that went a bit further than agaisnt Scotland. But too much individual actions rather than collective planning.

A lot of talk about Lancaster, and I appreciate that, he was important to this... but I highly, highly doubt he would have done it himself.

I think this has shown wat level of coach Lancster was. He is fantastic at nurturing young players and developing them, but did not have the skill to take the experienced ones to that next level.

Overall it was a great game. France played well at times, but they're so inconsistent. I think Thomas Castaignède is a bit ridiculous to talk about how that's how france want to play, so they can conjure some magic. Might look good at times, but won't win you trophies.

England have been the best team this tournament and so clinical, with chances to spare. If they can convert more of those chances, they hae every chance beating the southern hemisphere teams regularly.

You misunderstood. waht Casteigned and Cheika have explained is that France is still dreaming about his lost French flair and they are trying to find it back. As Cheika said, it is a good project, a good ideal and I agree, Noves is certainly the right coach for this, he was the successful 20 years coach of the Toulouse team which was aboslutely dominant back in 2000 (Maybe this is the issue, we are not in 2000 anymore :p). However, the issue is that you need the right players to apply it, players that have Stamina and be consistent. Sadly, this is not the case and I do nto see this changing soon. We are still with a generation of french players that did not train properly when they were younger. The french U20 for example looks different animals and I have hope for the future.

You're right , this team lacks talent but shows the right attitude. It will take some time to rebuild and we need to be patient.
We finish 5th in this tournament and we are at our place.

If this had been the first match of the tournament, I do not think that France would have been within a country mile of England!

However, it was not and I do think that the pressure of winning hampered England tonight and not surprising when you think none of them have been in the position of winning anything internationally.

A number of changes will be needed but they will learn to cope better with this kind of pressure.

France went in with eff all to lose and played with lots of passion but really did anyone see them winning?

Farrell, unusually, squandered 8 points and they still won by whatever!!

It was an improved performance by Les Blues but I agree, they have a long way to go to be a serious threat to a decent team......... The first thing they should do us up their training at clubs as they must be one of the least fittest teams in the tournament!!

LOL oh come on they didn't exactly blow the french off the field now did they? And before you you bring up the Welsh game they (the english) didn't finish that too strongly either.

Yet we won the grandslam and Wales only won 3 games

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

We didn't finish strongly but we did the rest strongly. Fact is, the comments about how we don't "deserve" it or it was such a poor 6N that the GS is meaningless just seem like sour grapes. We beat every team therefore we deserve it. If it was such a poor 6N then why didn't Wales win? It's lose lose.

Close games all though: You weren't that much better, the GS doesn't mean much
Win some games convincingly: Everyone was so bad, the GS doesn't mean much.

Fact remains, we won the GS and the lack of grace from some other nations supporters in social media is really quite baffling.
