Vunipola deserving of the Motm award with a superb display which was the main highlight of the game really. JVdF, Stuart McCloskey's second half, Henshaw, Stander, Dillane's cameo and Heaslip were all positives... Keep playing Kearney, Trimble, Ryan and White though... It's bound to work.

Yup, Brown was obviously deliberately concealing a backwards heel kick using an attempt to kick the ball from the ruck as sneaky, totally legal cover.

It couldn't have been anything but accidental, get over it. It was incautious, not illegal.

I wouldn't say downward. You had some promising performances today. Mccloskey offered so much more than Payne would have.

General lack of precision, but some encouraging stuff in the first half and there seemed to be some real team spirit when things weren't going our way in the second.

Hask had been doing some good stuff, but then spoils it with an unnecessary yellow. Maybe it's time to give Clifford the starting shirt.

As for Brown, good try but way too many moves die with him on the ball - he almost seems to actively seek contact or maybe it's just that teams have worked him out and he's not getting any quicker. And in the current era you just can't go using your feet like that, it was just plain stupid. Time to move on and put Nowelll at FB with Roko on the wing.

Agree with the Brown comment. I also felt moves fall apart with him. I would put Watson to full back though and Roko or Wade on to the wing.
