Thats exactly what he should of done and imo he had the time to do it. Players are just going to have to adjust to that "new" rule.

The problem with that is that it disproportionately punishes competing for the ball. If you don't catch the ball you lose two fold, because you a) don't have the ball and b) are likely to concede a penalty (or worse).

No because the player has to put himself in a position to be able to compete for the ball its not the Refs fault if one of the players either wasnt good enough or it was physically impossible to get advantage from the Crusaders OWN bomb.

Its pretty simple stuff if you ask me. The Crusaders put up the bomb then there players and the kicker need to get it exactly right and know exactly where its coming down so they can beat the opposition to a position to compete for the ball the Crusaders failed in that and the Cheetas 15 beat them... Simple.

Joe Moody looked the goods in this game. Will be interesting to see if he can dominate against perhaps some better scrums.

Crusaders are coming into their own. The rub of the green and the refs interpretation went their way! Carter is showing us he is easily best fly half in New Zealand .
