Philip Matthews was the Irish guy from yesterday wasn't he?
I'd say he's easily as bad as Jiffy, probably worse. Jiffy at least knows what he's on about, even if he's massively biased.

I think I've said this before on here, but Jonathan Davies' commentary is like listening to your drunk weird uncle sing karaoke at a public event. It's almost funny, but mostly embarrassing and you try your best to pretend you're not related to him.

Agree - the Healy/Cole thing a year ago made my blood boil by the inconsistency - "What do you expect when you're lying on the wrong side!?" - Well, not a stamp on the ankle, to be honest! :p

It's quite telling (and a damn shame) that we're talking more about Davies' commentary than the game though such is the rage that he induces.

I know that penalty wasn't given against Lydiate but it should have been...

This is why I don't particularly rate Dan Lydiate (sorry Wales). His whole game is stacked on his tackling. But the nature of how he plays is such that he makes it very hard for himself to fully roll away from a tackle. When this isn't reffereed well, Warbuton and Jenkins can have a field day. But when it's reffed properly, Lydiate becomes a one-dimensional penalty machine

Feel the same but there is not a lot in the match to maintain interest really!

Looking forward to what particular "positives" the interviewees will be taking from this match when they speak after the match........................

I don't know if it's just Scotland's work at the tackle and the breakdown but in general the Welsh ball placement has been terrible.

"Big Big mistake", Jiffy is only one when the Welsh can actually take advantage of it......... and "its on there" several times when they are on their own 22 with loads of covering players does not make too much sense either!!!

He's just speaking like a passionate fan, which is fine if you're just a passionate fan. He is however paid to be a professional commentator and has to reign it in a little.
