This is the worst Irish ball protection I've seen for some time and I blame the lack of Ulstermen.

This is also the dumbest response to the choke tackle I've seen for some time too from the French.

Final thought - this game needs something to bring it to the life, the metaphorical lightening strike and flip of the "We belong dead" lever.

The biggest shame for the six nations as a tournament is the hole France are in. This competition needs a strong France and we haven't had it for a while now.

Wood reckons the Irish have upped their accuracy levels since last week but this is plainly not true.....there have been far too many mistakes from them but more by the French in the wrong end of the pitch and hence the lead.

France can do this but they have to score a try and, to be honest, apart from the half break from Thomas, there really have been no threats from them.

I really do see that the Irish are going to win by nearer the 25 points than the 5 that I said earlier.
