Daily Mail reporting today that JJ will start at outside centre against Wales on Friday . Doesn't mention his centre partner but I'm expecting Burrell to play IC . Tbh I'd be really chuffed if it's true

Against Italy I would love to see Ewers off the bench , Kvesic start and Simpson to start as well.

Would take 3 injuries to get them into the EPS, though, unfortunately.

I'm still not 100% sure about Simpson, very quick and a great runner but I question him as a scrumhalf (rather than a 9 doing a winger impression).
That said I wouldn't mind seeing him on the bench over Youngs.

Everytime I think Simpson has cracked it and finally worked out how to do proper scrum-half stuff he goes and proves me wrong. I suppose that's not really a black mark compared to the other guys but I don't really see the point of bringing him in for more of the same. I suppose maybe he'll magically understand if put on an international pitch...

I would agree if our other scrum halves were Smith or Genia but they are just the same mould as Simpson but without the electric pace. I think he is worth at least 30 minutes against Italy (no offence to them but they aren't really a threat) to see what he can bring. Did anyone else think that Fearns looked more effective than Waldrom ? I know that he was playing tired players but in defence he rattled some people.

Let's all cross our fingers and hope Twelvetrees takes a blow to the head in the next week and forgets the majority of his time at Gloucester and plays like he used to.

Slade and Thomas confirmed as called into the EPS as cover for Eastmond and Wilson.

Edit: Burgess training with the EPS for two days next week to "aid his rugby development"..........

Best thing he could do is go play LV Cup.

Where did you see that BTW?
