[2015 RWC] Warm Up Match: France vs England (22/08/2015)

I'm not saying it is Lawes fault, but he is also meant to be the lineout leader and he has never had a good rep with Youngs.

I have no idea how any group of professionals can go away for a training camp that long and look so poor regardless of who is at 2 or 4/5. It has been a problem though since 6Nations, today has been tragic though.

Right so howwww can we dissolve ford of any responsibility of this.. Hmmmmmm

TBF to Ford his first couple of touches were poor but when your pack is playing that badly there is little you can do in a 10 position it was pretty much the same vs Ireland. Woodward has always said it and has always been right forwards win you matches.

...nothing a hard running , hard tackling Sam Burgess won't fix...need some mongrel in the team as they're playing like pansies atm

So since when did it become a good idea to have no breakdown specialists and then combine that with NO breakdown threat at all!? Seriously our breakdown work is absolutely shocking. Ford looks unnerved but the forwards are being slow and not doing their jobs.

Tigs, I am a Leicester fan as you. Just being intellectually honest. I suspect many who fail to recognize Hartley's impact are haters.

No he just doesn't bring any impact around the pitch.

I also don't see how it affects stuff when he is banned and wouldn't be playing now anyway.

Certainly don't disagree with that.

It like this squad has never trained together let alone spent that much time together over the last month.

Did Lancaster only focus on fitness that whole time? I hope it isn't the case.

Armitage anyone? ;)
Delon's long range kicking could come in handy.

The pack didn't make him put the kickoff out on the full or miss touch by a country mile on a penalty.

I'm also very much not a fan of absolving your flyhalf of all responsibility when the pack is beaten.
Early days Quade Cooper looked to be one of the best 10s in the world behind a pack getting absolutely rinsed all game.
I've seen Cipriani look ridiculously good being a Sale pack getting mullered.
Of course it'll make their day harder, but if they're good enough they'll adapt.
Farrell would, Ford isn't.

The pack must stand up and get focussed and start putting some hits on the French loose forwards who are getting an armchair ride.

How can a team be so good, against the same team, one week and so bad the next? Here's a clue... It's a good job England's games are at home for in the world cup.

hence why I said his first couple touches were poor...OK terrible

Mike Brown with a fabulous spark and run brings England alive and Jack Nowell helps England 70 metres up the park, great start to the second half.

Ford needs to have a bath and think about his future at England rugby.

I'm not one for panic calls but Burns needs to start.

That's a belter of a try from the scumbag Huget!

Well considering Johnny May is the only guy out there who's played both, it's not hard to see why the teams are playing so differently...
