[2015 RWC] Warm Up Match: England vs Ireland (05/09/15)

Got to be kidding right? Two very clear cut cases of infringements.
I didn't say they were wrong decisions but when was the last time you saw a TMO do either the things to disallow a try before (go phases back, call the ref after the try was given).

Geez, Ireland just do not look interested in winning this one whatsoever. England full of running towards the end, despite the inaccuracy at times.

That only means the other TMO's have not been doing their job!!

Not see anything Burgess has done that justifies his selection and a couple of things that say he should not be there!!!

Yeah it's a fair point but if I was Irish and they went unpunished and 14 cheap points for England? It'd flatter England and enrage the Irish.

Love how they zoom in on that, saying "Great turnover", when all it does is show Lawes with his hands on the floor/infringing :p

Good tackle though.

No argument here which is the whole point of my sarcastic comment.

Either they have to do it or don't bother. Next time England have a try awarded against them that shouldn't of been it'll be in a far more serious situation.

At the end of the game though, the score flattered them.

Would be nice to see us not butcher chance after chance.

I think that both sides will have to do a lot better than their performance today! England should have won that by 30 points but blew so many chances and then allowed the Irish back in.

Ireland were not allowed to play well but also they played very poorly too.

I would be happier at the chances of the English for two reasons.... Home advantage and strength in depth on key positions! Both favour the English!

Ireland have perfected the art of diving/flopping over the ball and the breakdown then getting up and "challenging". It really is infuriating seeing how much the Irish got away with on the floor that game. Penalised for diving in once yet they did it regularly, pretty much every single time on their own ball.

Brad Barritt did nothing of note in the game (not surprising) and I still don't understand why he was a dead cert for the world cup. Burgess didn't look impressive either but better going forward than Barrit. Would love to see Slade and Joseph start! Back 3 look great and Ford was back on good form today, whereas Farrel made a few mistakes in his short time on the pitch.

As long as there's no serious injuries I can live with that mostly due to the 'recovery'.

At the moment I'm thinking this may be our best team for the France match:

1. Healy/McGrath (depends how he comes back)
2. Best
3. Ross
4. Henderson
5. Toner
6. O'Mahony
7. O'Brien
8. Heaslip
9. Murray
10. Sexton
11. D. Kearney
12. Henshaw
13. Payne
14. Earls
15. R. Kearney

Toner in and POC out?

He's not even an attacking option, barely made a metre each time he carried. He'll start next game but it's a shame we refuse to start a good attacking player at 12.
