[2015 RWC] Semi Final 1: South Africa vs. New Zealand (24/10/2015)

Its funny though isnt it how they bring up the Mccaw incident but nobody's said jot about A Smith getting a boot on the back as he came out of a ruck about 4 seconds after the Mccaw nothing.

They are both nothings though of course....

Gutter rats is about the only way you can describe the English media as smartcooky said.

At last we agree on something!!

Are the press in NZ and Aus any better? Genuine question!!

Aussie are suspect, they will round on any visiting/touring team and hound them.
In NZ they will highlight something in the media and then let you make your own mind up.

Jones Boy is right from what I can tell.

Aus press seams to be worse than English press (but I get limited view of what's reported here). They have tendency to really go after opposition finding an aspect of their play that looks/is illegal or they don't like and mercilessly hound them for it in the week leading up to the game. Which honestly you don't really see the English press do who tend to complain more about something after England (or any home nation 'Scotland') lost. Although they are just as cruel on our own teams as well.

Plenty of people have been saying the first try was a forward pass from McCaw, So I watched the first try again on my sky box, they showed 2 angles, the one from the normal half way camera, and one from in front of play looking head on. The camera on half way you could see the ball went forward, but you could not see if their was any Bok player getting a touch on the ball, but on the camera looking front on you can see no Bok touched the ball.

NZ did deserve to win, but please let's be honest, considering how lot's of people have seen the incident, how the hell was it theTMO missed it and didn't check it out ? It was a crucial play.

Did anyone spot a McCaw knock on before the drop goal?

No, I must of missed that.......hey Squirrel, let's start up a rumour aye? because that way we'll feel better?

Let's pretend that he knocked it on after he knocked off Louw's head with a machete ok?

Camera on the halfway line will always give an illusion of ball going forward when it is passed toward the camera. Due to the perspective be really careful and try to draw lines before beliving what your eyes see.

Not saying it wasn't forward just you need to careful with any replay with just one angle. The McCaw incident was a similar thing where it gave the illusion due to speed what had happened.

Please watch it again and I think you'll agree it's forward, but anyway my point was how come it was not checked out because it was a close call.

Both the ref and touch judge called it fine, which it was.

Here's the McCaw incident.

That seems deliberate, coming from the wrong side and off the ball.
Suggest you tall through the thread and find the NZ link that zoomed on the contact area. Clear he clips him with the leg on the shoulder. We're going to have to post that several times I think before people are quiet about it.

Because if you listen to the commentary, you hear the referee yell "Backwards!!". That means he probably saw the ball drift forwards, but was 100% certain he saw that it was thrown backwards by McCaw, rememebring that just because a ball travels forwards IT DOES NOT MEAN THE PASS WAS FORWARDS.

Do you really think that the referee, having said it was thrown backwards, is then going to go to the TMO to check?

sorry your post is even worse than I thought as it has the zoomed in on area. Look with your eyes!

Calm down. I said it was deliberate, coming from the wrong side and off the ball. I did not mention hip or knee. It would serve you well not to direct insults to other people.

Okay fair enough but what were you trying to prove? That's a penalty, not a red card at all so certainly not a citabel offense. Would of only been that had his elbow connected with Louws head.

Nah, the ball was released and RM ran on from an onside position

FFS, he's not coming in from the wrong side.... the fecking ball is OUT, the ruck is over, hes perfctly entitled to run that line!!

Also, please read through the thread. This so called foul play incident has already been debunked

Cooky, calm down man. You and Bo are right. My mistake. Not coming in from the side. However, it was deliberate and off the ball.
