[2015 RWC] Final: New Zealand vs. Australia (31/10/2015)

We're actually playing territory brilliantly. Kicking game has been excellent. Aus haven't had many opportunities in our half. Applying pressure all across the park.

Definitely had the better of the decisions but we're playing very very well.

NZ doesn't need the help of Owens to win this WC. It's unfair

If Australia could get their lineout to work they may have a chance. Ref decisions aside that's why they are loosing.

There was a forward pass a knock on and holding on by the ABs that got ignored by Owens in the lead up to that try, BUT the Wallabies should never have given them that field position off the kick off. Losing Douglas and Giteau was a big blow and our line out just isn't functioning.

Hard to see this going any other way but an AB win unless the Wallabies transform themselves pretty miraculously at half time.

You cant tell me NZ doesnt deserve some points after dominating that half. I mean a forward pass that had no effect on anyone tackling them is a bit of a nothing. And I saw the fardy one its marginal but surely when you totally dominate possession and territory you are going to get a few calls go your way?If someone could explain the nigel penalty against us in the scrum for binding id be very interested coz I dont see it.

The usual bleating by the usual suspects. Surprised... yeah not really. LOL.

Or people with two eyes who are commentating on a game they're watching?
Was it not a forward pass?
Was it not a knock on?

NZ have been the best side, by far, but does somehow make facts not true?

Just spoke with my father he thinks 30-12 finish have to agree with him Aus need something special.

Well worked try but NZ aren't just getting the rub of the green, the green has been rubbed away and they are now getting the rub of the soil underneath. Forward passes and knockons galore from the ABs missed in those last few minutes with the last 10 points coming off the back of the ABs getting away with a knockon or forward pass.

Australia need to channel the spirit of the 1999 France side.

I think if Australia actually got down in our half and applied some pressure for more than 2 seconds they might get some calls of nige as well.

Why should anyone be getting preferential calls?
I thought Nige was supposed to be the best referee in the world? If he is then why would he just ping whoever is furthest away from their own tryline?

On the ITV coverage Lynagh just said 16-3 is a fair reflection of the game.

And that's why you don't chip kick. Game over. Well played all blacks - very controlled

did anyone see that ugly attempt of eye gouging from an aussie on a neozed on a tacke?

Oh dear - time to go back to bed

I can't help but think that this has all become a bit of a joke after only 40 minutes. Regardless of whether they are playing well or not there are rules and they are there to be enforced.

I thought some of the referreeing or lack there of has been pretty ordinary. But it's not even that - mcaw can talk to the ref but Moore is told to go away. Poor referreeing has the ability to make what could have been a decent struggle into a joke.

I'm not even sure it's going to get any better. Even if the refereeing improves I think Australia have been rattled enough to make the result predictable. I saw pool matches that were more interesting.
