Marler driving straight across

I'm not sure, look at Kepu's angle. He's packing down at 45'. It's the same tactic that the Wallabies used against Vunipola in the 2nd Lions test. Not to mention the Aussies are driving early and feeding*.

When England have kept it straight they've mullered them, so I don't think Marler is looking to the dark arts.

*And when I say feeding, I mean even by modern standards. Practically under the second row and straight to the number 8.

Much better from England so far this week. I talked about set piece and forward dominance before the game didn't I? Australia just don't have it. Not convinced on Foley at 10 either.

Lawes has been a very hard worker, Robshaw, Morgan. Australian backs have created opportunities but can't seem to finish them off. A lot of bumbling going on. Phipps has pace, and I like that, but tends to throw high passes or fumbles it. I feel the Wallabies just need to be patient. They did have a sequence of about 9 phases, need more of those.

I didn't think it was a knock on from Watson either, but to be fair I didn't think Folau's was and Robshaw was indeed off his feet. So I can't complain.

Frontrow has been anonymous, 36 not playing well. Brown has been shocking and our attacking ball has been as bad today as it has all season..... No point in having a "running" fly half if you shovel that rubbish to him.

I honestly don't know how we're winning this.

Struggling to work up any enthusiasm for the second half.

Think you might be being a bit hard on your own team, goodnumber10. England have done a lot of things well. Brown has pushed things with ball in hand that haven't worked. I like his kicking though. But you're certainly winning it through the forwards. Scrum is excellent and lineout is on song. Competing at the rucks strongly I feel.

There are some opportunities at times and openings for Australia. Whether they can actually take them, we'll see.

Because our half-backs are on another level to what we've had so far this Autumn. Not surprising about Ford, but wasn't expecting Youngs to be playing so well (that dodgy pass aside).

Our defence has been shocking and how long will we continue to kick to the opposition back three. Ball carrying has been sluggish, notable how our two best moments have come form set piece where the aussies forwards are locked in.
