2014 6 Nations: France vs Ireland (Round 5)

I hope you are aware of the irony of making such a comment about drying ones eyes, whilst you Gush about BODOD in the same way as the north Koreans gush about 'the revered leaderr'

Also I don't have a problem with Ireland winning the thing but don't know what you mean bythe right team won as I think England and gayland were on a par

You've always struck me as one of the more mature people on this forum - but that's just so childish and makes it very hard to complement the England team as a whole when there's clearly some bitter mouths among the fans.

@Feic as crazy as this sounds. No official medals were ever handed out by Celtic Rugby until the playoff system came in to play in 10/11 season.

@Olyy he was definitely a large part of reason Ireland won

I didn't see the game, but I don't mind Ireland winning. England and Ireland were the two best sides, and Ireland won in France, which we didn't, so it's only fair they win the ***le.

If (/when) BOD wins player of the tournament I'll spew, though.

Fair play he's retiring and will go down as one of the best ever players, but this whole thing has been done to absolute death now - you'd think he'd died by the amount of tributes and montages they've been wheeling out every game.

While I'd agree I'd also say Bod is modest guy. Even he cringed at getting it last week and this. It's just the tv stations being "symbolic".

Completely agree - he did look really embarrassed getting motm last week and said he shouldn't have
Just the media as usual

Despite disliking the man, if it was my choice I'd give it to Brown!

Haha dude give me credit I was not seriously slighting Ireland. Enjoy it, well deserved viictory and dont take anyone seriously who uses Tue term ' gayland'. :p

Is agree with this. I always said he's superb for Ulster but poor in green. He really had superb tournament and showed what great attitude and dedication will do. I thought him and POC were main MOTM contenders

I'm really pleased for Trimble - had probably his best ever game for Ireland when it mattered and he has taken a fair bit of stick in the past. Hopefully he enjoys the party tonight - well deserved (along with Dave Kearney who has been in a similar position this 6 Nations).

You have a point there imo. Ref certainly could have played advantage, as I thought the French had already done enough to earn a penalty in that scrum.

Let's move on... I think Ireland was deserving the ***le and was expecting a thrashing defeat for les Bleus... French did a good game, but so did the Irish, a very tight match... it's a bit frustrating to loose on the single "hesitation" from Walsh... he did a fair match, so did the teams, then what can we say ? whatever, Doussain have had a chance to win the match for us and he failed, I won't blame him, it would be too easy... I just remark that Sexton has also missed kicks...

At least, I have seen avery entertaining match, correctly and fairly refered (for once). I don't think it's a robbery, I considere that the french victory in Scotland was surely a bigger robbery...

Then once again, congratulations Ireland, awesome rugby, partially seen during the last tests they played before 6N. Sometimes Luck is for us, sometimes for opponents, it's life ! !

Bravo aux Irlandais et merci aux deux équipes pour le spectacle présenté ce soir.

Well on bright side he will remember party as he doesn't drink. But I always liked Trimble but at times wondered could he really do it at this level but he has improved and again it's nice to see a player who stuck with it when times were bad and things didn't go his way be it a knock on or lapse in concentration to come out a better player with a reward

lol - didn't realise he was tee-total! He'll certainly remember it then!

In fairness to Brown met him after the HEC QF last year and was very gracious in defeat as well being a gent. But he's a superb player too

I follow him on twitter . He appears to me to be a fierce competitor but laid back and genuine off the pitch .

Big congrats to Ireland though ! I was torn a bit well a lot lol wanted bod to sign off on a high note but wanted England to win it obviously .
