[2013 TRC] New Zealand vs South Africa in Auckland (14/09/2013)

In your dreams. This SA side is comfortably better than AB. A pity the referee decided to play SA at a disadvantage.

Better my ass they are about even i reckon with both teams given a fair chance. The AB's are deff alot smarter than your bunch though.

That second yellow was just pure stupidity really no excuse. He knows the rules.

Don't feed the troll, maybe if we ignore him, he'll go away

This is the biggest shocker of a game I have ever watched!
SA clearly playing superb rugby and the superior team tonight, despite an excellent NZ side
Travesty from the ref, who paid this guy? A very sad night for the worldwide game.
NZ to get crucified by the boks in the return game....

The better one i remember was when when David Coleman said about the Cuban 400 metres runner (Juantorina?) in the Olympic final that "he came around off that bend, opened his legs and showed his class........"!!

 !!! That's priceless!

As far as rugby goes, I usually love the commentators. NOT American commentators, though, they're boring and dry and dull, dull, dull! No flair at all. Loved McLaren...miss that guy. All in all, though, I'd say that the NZ commentators are the most entertaining.

About 10 years or so ago two commentators had this exchange during what was at the time a Super 12 match. I can't remember who they were, but it's my favorite ever commentator quote:

"Ah, the rolling maul. It's the sexiest part of rugby, isn't it?"

"Oh yes it is! Just look at all those sweaty, smelly great big blokes in there!"

I really wish I knew who said it, because imho it's a classic!

South Africa absorbing a lot of attack, could it be a case of rope and dope and the Boks finishing strongly?..
Give me hope Joanna

Poitier's refereeing is incomprehensible today. I'm just staggered at the impact the referring decisions have had on today's game. Red card for SA's best player, incorrect application of the free kick movement law, misjudging the new scrum laws against the old scrum laws, mis-applying the blocking laws. And he is meant to be the best NH referee. To be fair, he normally is good, but he has lost it today.

Surely one of them was Mexted!

Jesus, they were considering awarding a penalty try there, if it had not been an actual try. That would be the worst call I've ever seen. If it's a knock on you can't then award a penalty try - you could card Piutau and award a penalty for foul play, but that's all.

I am so disappointed! Early out of bed to watch one of the years best matches and it gets ruined by the officials.
What a great tackle on Dan Carter by Bismarck du Plessis, and the ref buckles to the crowds reaction to the country's favourite son. Didn't anybody tell Mr. Bismarck du Plessis that nobody is allowed to tackle Dan Carter, that's why a yellow card was given wasn't it?

The whole contest for world No. 1 was impeded when Bismarck du Plessis got another yellow and then a red. Now NZ are playing champagne rugby while SA fight to keep a low score. Yet again the officials poor decisions affect the outcome.

...and don't get me started on Nonu and his cheap shots!

I'm sure it was! I think I still have the game somewhere on VHS. I should dig it up and see if I can figure out who said it.

Great try for the Boks!

Kicking's gone off for both teams.

Happy to watch good rugby over many many years. Huge respect for All Blacks.
Officiating tonight worst I have ever seen. Feel obligated to point out the obvious given what a joke this game has become
