Vern Cotter to take over from Jake White at Montpellier

Great attitude by some of the mods against an enthusiastic (maybe tad over enthusiastic from time to time) knowledgeable guy. Sums up the way this forum is moving and why I will not be posting again.

Good to see Rory get a win under his belt and maybe this will give him the confidence to really bounce back..... It has to be said that he was six shots back and out much earlier than Casey, (who yet again could be said to have cracked under pressure), which lessened the pressure on his...

    New Cycling season

My disappearance is not connected to the progress, or not, of Froome but am only intermittently able to get to wifi and only can access BBC and ITV1........!!!

Nah - he only gets to give money to the ref at home games!!! His taste in wine and Guiness precludes hangovers though..... probably because of all that space in his head!!!

    New Cycling season

Saturday was a great day of racing and Froome did great. However, for whatever reason, it would appear that the effort took far too much out of Froome but, perhaps more importantly, his team! Vuelta over.....!!

    Aviva Premiership 16/17 - Round 1

Loyalty is great but in the professional world it is a rare thing as it rarely brings long term success. Likewise promoting from within really went out with the boot room culture at Liverpool FC. I watched in despair as Biarritz followed the loyalty and promotion from within route as they...

As previously stated the Paris game was hardly rugby - due to the calamitous ref - but highly entertaining and, yes, bonkers!! I do not think I have ever seen Toulon look so bad , disjointed and lacking in skills or desire!! Cannot see the new manager lasting or that idiot who has scrum coached...

    Aviva Premiership 16/17 - Round 1

Please do not think that I am trying to add to your grief but was not Kingston previously in charge at Quins but had to be rescued by either O'Shea or perhaps before that by the now Newcastle manager?

    Aviva Premiership 16/17 - Round 1

A tad late in tackling Henson as he was kicking but Marler was probably airborne and could hardly stop! Henson hurt his knee hitting Marler And now two forward passes by Quins in their own 22..........

Ashley-Cooper summoned back by his club

If I told a prospective employer I had a university degree and I did not I could face prosecution if I contracted to work for them...... No differences.....it is false pretences!

Forward pass by Yarde! What....... Bristol robbed there.....

    Aviva Premiership 16/17 - Round 1

Never mind Newcastle, Worcester and Bristol - what about Quins for the drop in their 150th year!!! Bristol bossing this game and very deservedly 14-3 up!! Marler has done for Henson.....

Good start by Bris but their handling is a disaster!!

    Aviva Premiership 16/17 - Round 1

Bosch been doing that for years! Can't believe the BT commentary team ranting about Sarries' performance as if they were playing a top side rather than one that will be fighting against relegation!! Mind you I think Dalalalalalailooo has possibly the most boring voice I have heard since Jamie...

Very entertaining game between ASM and SF in Paris which could only vaguely be called rugby due to the refs relaxation of most of the laws of the game! Gaston got the draw right but ASM should have won once you disallow the first SF try after blatant forward pass for which the ref thought the...

Ashley-Cooper summoned back by his club

It is actually obtaining a contract by false pretences....... He was not "forced out"of International rugby - he opted out to get the contract that he knew he would not get if he remained eligible for International selection!

    Pro D2

I suppose the exception to prove the rule is ASM winning 9 games each at home AND away last season?

Ashley-Cooper summoned back by his club

My understanding was that he signed a contract with Bordeaux on basis he had retired ex International game otherwise he would not have got the contract. On that basis Bordeaux are clearly in the right.
