I was thinking the same thing. Despite the forward dominance, Ireland need Sexton as their game is based around him.

English forwards SO slow to the breakdown, it is infuriating. Our first touch of the ball was a penalty because we ****ed up the breakdown. England haven't had a single kick chase for the entire game. We knew exactly what Ireland were going to do so why the **** are we playing to their strengths? We know they will use the kick chase, we know they are good under the high ball so what in the name of all that is ****ing holy are we doing kicking everything away right at the Irish with no pressure!?

Pressure on the half backs midfield. Simple as that.

Ireland flooding the breakdown against isolated carriers, means pressure on the 9-10 with no options outside them.

Also Ireland 1vs1 tackling has been to notch.

I thought that - ref made the signal, Murray dummied the put in then stepped back when England shoved. We did shove early, but the dummy was the first offence.
