Brought Dragons Dogma at the weekend and after a while of trying to get into it i think its the best ever RPG i've ever played. It's so much more fun and realistic in many ways than Skyrim and offers the things you expect from an RPG which Skyrim and others have dumbed down. Hope other people get to enjoy it as if your an RPG or medieval game fans it's top notch!
Not playing as I dont own a PS3 but watching a walkthrough series of The Last Of Us. I think this would be the only game I'd ever consider switching consoles for.
It looks and sounds incredible and has a smooth gameplay style and the characters and they way theyre voiced make you actually care about what happens to them in game.

Anyone else still a sucker for older games? Every few months I load up one of my 90s/early 00s games. Mainly Theme Hospital, Dungeon Keepers, Red Alert, Age of Empires, Medieval Total War, Medal of Honor Allied Assault, Call of Duty 1 etc.
I've only played DA. One of the best games of modern times imo. What do you like to play as?
I played a killer rogue + cunning + daggers + backstab.
x-com: terror from the deep = my favorite game ever.
was really disappointed in the new xcom.
I wish there was a game shop still open in Ireland besides GameStop. They have a **** range and overcharge like mad, because no one else is still going. GAME was the best.
I agree. I was able to have a little go on The Last of us last weekend and the gameplay is well thought out and fluid. The story and characters really make the game.
In a time when Xbox is about to price itself out of the market, PS would be wise to start producing quality, PS only, games that would sway the market. I'm an xbox 360 user and its the first time I've considered changing allegions!

The Witcher: not the best RPG, trying to get through it for the sequel.
Faster Than Light: Originality at its finest. I have no idea how to write about this game because there's nothing to compare it to. It's a roguelike (short game that can be completed in two hours, but you only get one life, and its designed to be repeated again and again, with random events) where you basically control a spaceship from a top-down view and do battle with other ships. It's difficult and immensely fun.
Thomas Was Alone: indie puzzle game with an awesome soundtrack. The characters you control are a bunch of rectangles each with their own abilities, and you have to guide them to their portals to the next level. Their stories are narrated and more compelling than nearly every other game out there. Marcus from Gears of War dies? Meh. Thomas the rectangle? Now that would break my heart.
Dota 2: Wanted to know what the hype was about, can see why people love it and get addicted to it, but goddamn the learning curve is brutal. Tempted to give up on it.

Got Madden 25 on pre order. Really looking forward to getting a go on it. Played the demo for ages and seen a few gameplay vids of the main game and it looks better than 13
PS3/X360 or PS4/X1?
Xbox 360. As the likelihood of me getting an Xbox One at release is virtually non existent at this point
The only games I am going to buy for my PS3 are GTA V and NHL 14, mainly because they won't be released for the next-gen consoles. In November, I will buy the new PS4 with FIFA 14 and Madden 25 as first games for this console. I am really curious to see what the difference is with the new engine. Unfortunately, they are not using a new engine for NHL

I havn't bought a new game for my xbox 360 in over a year. GTA V will probably be the last game I buy for the 360. The video game industry has gone stale for a few years now. The next gen of consoles should have been out by now or the games should be getting cheaper.
I wonder is the amount of people still splahing out on new COD games every year dropping??

Considering picking up Saints Row 4 when I get paid, not 100% though.
Definitely looking forward to GTAV - especially after seeing the online trailer.
Not sure when I'm going to get a PS4 - almost definitely not right at release, unless there's any mega-good deals. Will probably wait until there's more games/a game that I really want that isn't on 360.
Having said that, I really really want Battlefield 4, but I imagine playing it on next-gen is a big step up from current gen - that might be what forces me to get one sooner rather than later (though it all depends if I can resist not buying it for the few weeks between 360 release and ps4 release

The last game I bought was Hitman:Absolution
at the moment I'm playing Fifa 13 and now and then Red Dead Redemption (again).
GTA5 is on pre-order, and then it's the great unknown of the PS4. they announced it's official release date today as 29/11/2013... Great!! Now my December bonus will go directly into that...
It may well this year with a new sub franchise and the new Gen being more hyped and important than a new COD. I may still buy it if all my mates pick it up as I've only ever played it to game with my friend hopefully GTA online can fill that spot however.
