Do you reckon if the RFU had paid their Chief Exec 150k a year, they'd have got someone markedly worse?

High salaries for many boardroom personnel very much seems to be about the imaging, rather than the facts of the matter regarding either their performance or their rarity.

In short, Sweeney knew what he was doing and what it meant. The board were told how this would look later down the road and didn't care. The whole thing stinks and reeks of the RFU not doing their job.
