British & Irish Lions 2025 General News and Chat

I've never said anything untrue in my life. Apart from Steff Evans being the next Shane Williams, Wales would make the last England game competitive, Sherratt was not just a glorified PE teacher and I once foolishly said that Tipuric wasn't the GOAT.
But did you say tipuric wasn't a goat? Important thing to get right in the valleys.

I thought that was such a shallow article. Was really looking forward to an in-depth piece on how the logistics of a tour the size of the Lions worked, but the only interesting piece of information was that they send four sets of training kits to different locations ahead of time rather than transport one set around the country.

I wouldn't even rate that as 'interesting' tbh

It gets far more interesting*. A friend of mine works for North's in Sydney and is now a proud owner of 3 Lions coat hangers after their training there the week of the Waratahs game. Very wasteful Lions, leaving stuff behind.

*Not really

They were gonna use them to hang Keenan, Beirne and Curry out to dry after the first test

Turns out they weren't needed in the end

They're leaving everything behind, they're not bringing anything back to the UK. Apparently Rugby AU are so cash strapped the Wallabies will be wearing the Lions' old warm up kit ahead of their Rugby Championship fixtures.

Didn't you people once get sent to Oz for pilfering stuff. Oh how times have changed.

What, so you can send your thirds out because you won't align the Top 14 with the rest of the world? And avoid losing ranking points instead of getting an unlubricated **** from ABs/the Boks

I mean until the Top 14 leaders come out and say they are for it then I don't see this being even a talking point tbh

FRU doesn't seem to have much power in the French game from what I have seen

I honestly can't see anyone beating 9 in the modern era. Willie John's record was whem tours were 4 tests and frequently two or three years apart. He has two more from 1962 which is staggering, more than a quarter of his tests were for the Lions and I think he retired as the most capped international ever at the time.
