SVNS

Ok, i dont think they are out. Apparently the received a special permission from UAR to play for their (former) clubs. Me like it, but it scared the living bejesus out of me for a moment.

What a terrible start for us. I guess we could argue this is a transition period for us, but our top players (Moneta, Gonzalez, Mare, Pellandini, etc) and the coach are all still there.

It's a real shame. You lads' rise in sevens was astronomical. Ireland went from not playing at all to competing for the top 3 spots on a regular basis. They did much, much better than GB (natural benchmark in my eyes).
One bad season and puff, your union decided to pull the plug. A tragedy.

The good thing about the current setup, is that it is literally brutal. The worst team doesn't really need a miracle to beat the best team. One might look at the teams, see Spain and think it'll be an easy game. Rude awakening incoming.

Found a stream for Cape Town Sevens - it's been a while since I've watched 7s outside of the Olympics, and I'm confused as hell.
They keep telling us that it's session1 of day 1, and everyone's already played two matches.
And it's not that I came in part way through the broadcast, as they started off by showing the final rounds of Dubai
