Careful, Mike Phillips might be after you now.
I'm built like a prop, he wouldn't stand a chance.

This pretty much sounds like date night with the husband.

Yeah, just Googled and it's from ESPN's "East Terrace", which is their joke/spoof blog
I just did a quick backgroudn check - apparently most of the English media are somehow employed by "East Terrace".Oh.......ummmm....yeah I knew that. shhhh.
Actually, that expalins a lot, this "East Terrace" must have been where I read that England thrashed the All Blacks. Phewf, I'd been having nightmares about that, thanks for easing my mind
In attack maybe, but judging by how easily Fofana brushed him off, his defence is far from good enough to be an international 13, at least not yet. We also haven't had a chance to see his distribution game.
What do people think about Jon Davies' chances. His game v Ireland was terrible, and his distribution is still pretty poor. However he does have strengths. His defence was superior to any other centre this 6 nations (he'd made over 90% of his tackles before the England game), and I don't remember him missing one in that game), and he is a strong runner with ball in hand. I thought he was more effective at carrying that ball than Roberts this campaign, and always got over the gainline against England on Sat. If given a chance he certainly knows his way to the try-line.
Do those strengths outweigh his big weakness though? The again, Tuilagi isn't too much better in the distribution department. I'd probably have him as just missing out, but I would possibly take him above Marshall and Twelvetrees. I have been impressed with Scott though.
I think time's definitely on Halfpenny's side at the minute. Kearney will have to hit and maintain form very soon if he's to show that he's got the required consistency. Same with most other contenders. Only big performances will dislodge Halfpenny at this point.I think that if over in Australia Kearney hits top form he's a better player than Halfpenny when both are at their best and he could get the nod ahead of him. Halfpenny is the most likely player to start due to his extremely high level of consistency but if, and it's a big if, Kearney hits top form he could overtake Halfpenny.
I actually completely forgot about Beck. Is he back from injury/back soon?

Add the fact that he's been Gatland and Howley's rock and Farrell's preference for defensive players, I'm pretty sure Halfpenny will be starting.
Whether or not they consider playing two fullbacks is a different matter...

A lot of their articles start to make a lot of sense now... And would sort of explain Austin Healey.

Hint about captaincy maybe?
Nothing British about Lions these days. Almost got more foreigners than French Top 14.
POChas already been told there a spot for him. Zebo is probably going to miss HEC QF by a week but his form and attitude could really lift people on tour. Bowe will probably loose battle against time but if fit deserves to go. Corbs is interesting as it hard to judge his thinking on front row options and Lydiate is good player but has hardest task as this is probably 1 of the most competitive selection choices on a Lions tour. There easily 13+ guys who could all argue valid points on why they should travelGatland namechecked five guys who would be returning from injury soon that he's keeping an eye on to see how they return - Zebo, O'Connell, Bowe, Corbs and Lydiate...
