Woosaahs Raggasmic 08 Editor

Ok, here goes...

The editor is currently reading bytes 97-98 for home stadium but writing bytes 95-96. It's also writing stadium again over bytes 99 onwards when nothing was there before. As Ciais says, performance (byte 92) is being changed too 00 as well.

Here's what I have (bytes 89-100). Strings generated by saving the default roster without making changes:

Code:
Bytes   89 90 91 92 93 94 95 96 97 98 99 100
Orig    09 00 00 03 00 03 04 02 3A 00 00 00
Saved   00 00 03 00 00 03 3A 00 3A 00 3A 00

up - 94
left - 93
right - 95
down - 96

Above are the bytes for set plays with the codes used being as follows:

classic - 00
pivot - 01
pocket - 02
dummy switch - 03
miss - 04
cross kick - 05
loop - 06
miss pivot - 07[/b]

Ok, I've worked out how to fix this. :)

The ingame way is to change the teams setplays before you start play - this may cause stadium to reset to 0 (Australia) though. The out-of-game way is to hex edit the set plays string from 93-96 and ensure the values are between 00 and 07. I've tested this pretty thoroughly and obviously whilst the editor needs changing to prevent the string being saved wrong, this will stop the crashing.

@ monatu - I've fixed sharks and cheetahs for now but the chances are there may be issues with other squads you've edited...

Kk

I loaded up a play now, found that the Lions/Sharks/Cheetahs set plays were all on classic
did what you saidabout changing the set plays before i started = no crash to desktop :D

thanks mate. Do you think if I do a super 14 comp and just change every team that is affected's set plays it will work fine? Or will I have to change at the start of every game - spose ill try it out and see

ONly discovered the orange scrum cap thing myself the other day, is there a way to fix/prevent it?

Through squad management is fine (as you posted in the other thread). Is the stadium changing to Australia when you do that? It did for me the first time but I didn't test it.

Ok, I did what you said, Colin, and I can confirm that the set plays bytes (93 to 96) do crash the game before the kickoff, so good job

But the home stadium problem remains. Whether you change or not the set plays, the home stadium for that team is always Australia Stadium. But when I go seeing the Home Stadium ID bytes with the hex-editor, they're good (for example, Romania should have 26 00), and in fact in the roster is 26 00, so why in the game the stadium is Australia and not Tbilisi?
Because the next bytes (99-100) are 26 00 too, while they should be 00 00. So I edited them to 00 00, and in fact ingame the stadium was Tbilisi again ;)

I have a quick question I'd like to squeeze in:

I've created a new player for Italy using the ingame player creation thingy. I'd like to edit this player using Woosaah's editor, but every time I do so that roster file doesn't work for Italy games (it crashes when loading the match). I read something about this in another thread, and what worked for me was switching it to "player created face" and assigning a random face ID to the player, but this erased the face I created and put the default player created face on him. I'd like to keep my created face, or if necessary find another player that has long blond hair (not too many of those) whose face I can use.

How do I fix/circumvent this?

um I dont think the stadiums have changed...ill check the next time I load up the super 14 tourney

I have created the maximum players authorised in the game ...

I save (set default) my full roster with your editor
I copy the rdf file in my R08
I run the game and I load default roster
Now I can create news players again, I create 1 new player and I save my roster.
When I open my new roster file with your editor I have a bug.

I can't do it? we can change the maximal number of created player?
Thank you and sorry for my english

You need to tell the game that they're not created players. Do it using this.
I've only coded it very quickly as Woosah's latest version doesn't do it.
Once you uncheck the box they will be removed from the Created Players list and you should be able to add more.
Note that you will need to set faces for the players afterwards using woosah's editor.

Thank you very much kingwilko, but I can't download this file. [/b]

Why not? Link is fine for me although we have been having some server probs recently. I'll upload it elsewhere if need be.

I don't know ...
I can dowload it but when I open It I have an error, and the file size is 0 ko lol!

thank you very much :p , you program work very good, but I have the same probleme with woosaah editor :
I can create new players in the game, but when I open woosaah for edit this new players the editor bug.
