I know I can always come off as sounding negative and ranting a lot or what ever. But I'm seriously unimpressed with the hype surrounding the All Blacks, the way the team has been marketed is simply just cheesey and in most cases tasteless. Then we had the over the top presentation reading of the team at Parliament and a sending off like they were soldiers going off to WW2. I thought we as a Nation had grown up and moved past this and learned not to put the guys under HUGE amounts of pressure and expectations and making them feel all important and like the whole Nations hopes and dreams rested on their boots. We're setting ourselves up once again to look like huge d!cks if we lose. I love the team and most of the players and have big respect for the coaching staff, but at the end of the day they're just a bloody sports team, not ANZAC veterans or important politicians. John Key putting Richie up to backing several of his policies is just laughable and embarrassing.

What ever happened to subtlety, giving them a pat on the back and wishing them luck? Bloody hell.

this is pro rugby i think most of the big teams are at it one way or another, mostly its tele and comm that get evrybody on the bandwagon but i think you can put alot of it down to harmless fun no more no less. Remember the Haka biscuit men done by a flour producer fantastic and no one got hurt.!!!!

There's been plenty of discussion, don't get me wrong, but where's the mindless patriotism? ARROGANCE? Isn't that what sports is all about?





The last time England was conquered was almost 1000 years ago (949 if we want to specific - 1066, Battle of Hastings and all that Jazz - 1991 doesn't count because it was a UK+IRE RWC, not England) - I'll be damned if some jumped up Johnny Foreigner is going to come here and take what is ours by birth right (Webb Ellis Cup? Where was William Webb Ellis from? Where is the town of Rugby?).

Knowing this makes it all the better if ye lose. Dont get me wrong I absolutely love the All Blacks but by gum do I enjoy seeing NH teams beat them (which is more or less never)

There's only been 7 World Cups, with 4 different winners. What are you even trying to get at here? Aussie won both of theirs out of Australia, SA won one in South Africa and the one in France, England won in Australia, and New Zealand have won both in New Zealand.
