Is there something like a weekly show that summarizes super rugby results and analyzes main plays/controversies of the week? Not talking about live coverage. Name of the show/channel/local time/day please.
Since we were talking about bias in another thread i'd like to see what's being said elsewhere.

Tuesday night 7pm CAT in SA we have TMO for half an hour which analyses rugby matches from the weekend. Thursday night same time is previews for the week ahead.

Yup, the Tuesday show is called TMO first half and the Thursday show is called TMO 2nd half.
We also have Phaka, which is a Xhosa-language orientated rugby show, and also SuperRugby on Mondays on Kyknet, which is an Afrikaans Rugby show.

The name of the Australian version is Rugby 360. They had Rugby HQ up until last year but I'm not sure if that's still going. I think they have it on Wednesday nights. Pretty sure it is an hour show though.

I think New Zealand has something called Rugby Nation but not sure on times, but I think it is also an hour long.

saulan, "Rugby Nation" is just a glorified highlights package. The analysis programme is called "The Breakdown"; an hour long programme on Wednesday night at 8:30pm. Its OK is suppose, but it's too "sound bitey" for my liking. They never really get their teeth into any analysis. Just when it looks like they are about to get stuck to something interesting, Jeff Wilson changes the subject. I do like Ian Jones' stats and selections segment, but I would like it a whole lot better if someone would take him aside and teach him how to speak. He is very hard to listen to, often getting a little tongue-tied. The guy has a lot of good information and his understanding of the game is as good, if not better than anyone else on the Sky Sports team; he's just not that flash at getting it out.

"The Breakdown" is not a patch on its predecessor "ReUnion" which was a far better programme in every respect. I find myself watching the Aussie's "Rugby 360" program more often than "The Breakdown" because their analysis really is good. Rod Kafer is an astute student of the game.

Ah! Thank you. I thought it sounded odd. I remember ReUnion being quite good and watching that every now and again. When did they drop ReUnion? Did South Africa, Australia and New Zealand all get new shows this year?

I watched ReUnion frequently too, Tony was a way better presenter than what Wilson is now. I think all the tv stations went for a change along with the new Super Rugby format. My guess is that the broadcasters had some sort of agreement with the shows...

"ReUnion" was dropped after the 2013 season.

Wow I didn't realize it had been gone for that long.

Shame as it was one of the few rugby shows worth watching back then. Much prefer seeing Tony Johnson's analysis over someone like Karl Te Nana or Justin Marshall - who to be frank are just not broadcasters. Jeff Wilson and Richard Turner aren't bad mind you.

While Tony Johnstone is usually pretty good I could never stand his PC rants that he inevitably ends up doing in any show he's involved in be it commentating, reunion and now the prime highlights show. I hate it mostly because I believe he's usually wrong in his analysis as he usually has some sort of pre conceived fantasy land ideas when the real world doesnt actually work like that.

But thats probably just me....:D

I cringe every time Merts open his mouth, and Justin has about 2 brain cells, Nisbo at least has a good voice for it. Tony Johnstones passionate and not bad and I often laugh at some of his interactions with Justin, you can faintly and subtlety hear what a plonker he really thinks Marshall is.
