Warm Up Match 3: Crusaders v British & Irish Lions (Christchurch)

LOL this Lions team is a bigger bunch of chokers than the AB's in 2007 against the french!!!! How many tries have these muppets bombed???

So this lions team is pants. These Crusaders backs are a bunch of bloody school kids and they are hardly beating them.
Haha how many All Blacks are there? Your entire front row? How many more. Poor kids :(

Hopefully this proves the Lions will be competitive for the All Blacks. Good to see them putting together a performance.

Some of the Crusaders luck this season catching up to them this game.

Why throw such a silly pass there. We've been poor in the red zone. If they can finish some of those we'd look much better, and would be winning this game at a canter.

It was him against about 5 Saders. Can't really blame him. Can blame his team mates for not being with him.

Not really blaming him, it was a difficult situation. But it didn't strike me as doing better in the situation than a consistent talent that is effectively two time reigning NH player of the year. I wouldn't call such a position "moronic" though. ;)

Enough to probably make Hansen a little bit worried if the Lions gel in the coming weeks.

Hansen doesn't do worry.
This is hardly unexpected.
There are 50 Lions players in a squad dripping with talent and power.
This is the first time we have seen Gatland pick some of the cream players and they are doing the job.
This is great for the tour and it shows how much the Cantabs rely on Kieran Read, the greatest no.8 on the planet, 2 x RWC winner and a champion leader, and also Crotty who makes so many important tackles and calls for the Crusaders back line.
The Cantabs are not the same team with out them and to be fair to the Lions, this would still be a tough game for the Cantabs even with those two key players on the park, especially as the Crusaders front five are getting a bit of a schooling up front.
The Lions backs are getting a chance to run and it's exciting even if it's not clinical.
The Crusaders were never going to be the 4th test like some Kiwis thought.
Super Rugby sides are a fair way below the top level.
Jumping up to the AB's level is a big task and if the Lions can finish this game as winners it sets the tour alight with a bright flame because it's meant to be a contest, not a bloody walk like the 2005 tour was...

The Crusaders are the ones being shown up here not the AB's. I will say 30 points plus to the AB's in the first test. Im very confident having seen the lions scrum. The Crusaders have monstered them three times in this match. The AB's full pack will have a field day against these guys.

Ah to be fair all you can do as a fullback is protect the ball and take the hit. It's on your team to salvage the situation. He did nothing wrong.
