Warm Up Match 3: Crusaders v British & Irish Lions (Christchurch)

This is a rather inexperienced internationally Crusaders team. The backline is clearly the weaklink very surprising to everyone in NZ they are leading the comp with the lack of ex they have imo. The pack can clearly match it with this lions pack other than Taufua.

Why did he go for that with one hand? Was a certain try if he wasn't a showboat.
Farrell is having a bit of a stinker in defence.
Tbf he's defending the most difficult channel in the backline, in a position that he's never played before. Don't think you can read too much into it.

Then what does that make the Crusaders backs? I'll give you that Te'o can't distribute for ****, but that's all.

Its not a very good crusaders backline. If you watched them last year they were bloody woeful. They have improved immensely this year but this game is showing the lack of experience in the younger players.

Crusadrs really missing Read as the link and Crotty as the midfield general.
Not the same team without them, ceertainly not at this level. The Lions look head and shoulders above the Crusaders in game management.

I'm reliably informed that scrum pen was for an early push, which the Crusaders have already been penalised with a free kick previously, therefore it's a pen all game... anyone else want to confirm that then cool.

Early engagement.
