Wales v New Zealand

That's correct. A player whom has his foot out, may pick up the ball while the ball is still moving in order for a scrum from where it was kicked. If you just touch it down, it is a scrum. When during the match did anyone force the ball for an attacking scrum though?

Like I said in my last post it didn't happen in that match I got mixed up with a different game.

So no news yet about Powell being citied. I will actually be very annoyed if he get's away with that tackle, as it doesn't belong in the sport. How long does it usually take untill a citing is lodged, I can't think at the mo?

Should've been today,
You get 48hours to cite someone, so looks like he's gotten away with it

I agree completely, deserves a ban.
Wasn't even marginally high, and I've seen people banned for a lot less.

I think George North is good, but he really needs to work on his tackling. Many times he did not put his shoulder into it and the player got away.

Powell not being cited is disgusting. Is it me or have all the officals been awful in these autumn internationals?

I remember Wales-South Africa was a bust when it comes to refereeing.

Well coonor, if it is you, then it must also be me. They have been abysmal.

Who the fvck was the citing officer for this match.. Stevie Wonder?

Anyway, here is my take on the inconsistency of the iRB citing system. Its in need of a serious overhaul

Scraping the barrel a bit with that Stephen Jones bit aren't you?
Also, Mealamus should be in the poor decisions bit, as two weeks was ridiculous for that, should've been raised on appeal for having the cheek to question it (and yes I agree that Hartley should've missed the rest of the series for his idiotic hit on McCaw)

Also, I seem to remember Bakkies kicking Tom Croft in the head, in the England SA match -> He went in to clear Sheridan out of a ruck (in the same way he cleared Adam Jones out/dislocated his shoulder - which I seem to remember him getting banned for despite being legal) - Sheridan took offence to that and dumped him. However on bakkied way through Tom Croft caught a kick in the head - Should be banned like Stephen Jones then, ay?

Olyy. On the Steven Jones one, I accept that it could have been an accident, however, when you go after the ball with your foot, and there are players heads in the vicinity, you have a duty of care to those players; it is you responsibility to make sure you don't kick anyone. The Law makes no allowance for an accident when kicking someone, because to do so is negligent.

If you attempt to tackle chest high, but your arm slides off the ball and up, copping the ball-carrier in the swede, that is still a high tackle. Even if you didn't intend it to go high, and even if it was purely accidental, you will still be penalised. The tackler is responsible for the contact with the head, same as Steven Jones was..

Sorry, but that smacks of "BAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW, THE WORLD HATES US. BOOHOOHOOO"

MTFU. There was nothing wrong with the Stephen Jones kick at all. They got it wrong by not binning/banning Powell. Mealamu nutted another person in the back of the head - If he wasn't [strike]Such a good Christian[/strike] on a rugby pitch when it occoured he'd have got arrested for that. Hartley went into a ruck from the side so conceded a penalty (NOTHING MORE) and Carter was high in the tackle but unlucky to get a binning.

Whining and bloody moaning even when they win... **** knows what they'll be like when they choke in the World cup. More death threats towards the referee I imagine...

Actually mate, I don't really give a fat rats arse what you think.

** thinks ** Now where is that "ignore" button?

Sounds about par for course. Shout to the hills about what you think, but cower away as soon as somebody challenges your comments.

Edit: Oh wait, you won't see that because you "ignored" me. Never mind.

I can't ignore you; it seems that because you are an Administrator, I have to see the drivel you post

I don't cower away from you, and I am certainly not afraid of you. Some of the other Mods on this forum did warn me that you were a cyber-thug; seems they were right.

The trouble is, the only thing you appear capable of is hurling abuse at people and misusing your powers as an Admin.

Is there a specific law for charge downs? Because the amount of times lewis moodys copped a boot to the face, it's unreal :p
I just think binning/citing Jones for that would've been mad as he's obviously going for the ball, the SH (Ellis? Mathewson?) just happed to dive in at the wrong point,
It's hardly like when Jerry Flannery tried to dropgoal Pallison during the 6N

Misusing my power by posting as a normal member and pointing you that your little montage of "how New Zealand are being hard done by" is wrong on every level (except the Powell clothesline)? Ah, right. I see. So that's what it is.

There's me thinking abusing power would be something like editing posts etc. Nope, I'm mistaken.. It's actually calling out a Kiwi troll who has a better grasp of the English language then he does the art of the sport for bleating complete tripe and garnishing it as fact with big and impressive words. Whatever.

If that makes me a "cyber-thug" also, I suggest you never join a debate club. Blimey, you may even get your handbag stolen!

Charge downs are a different situation. The charger is attempting to knock the ball away after the kick, or prevent the kicker from kicking the ball at all.

In Steven Jones' situation, he took aim at the ball in such a way that he must have known missing it would leave a player's head in the firing line. He must have seen Leonard heading down to the ball; its not as if he appeared out of nowhere.

It was dangerous any way you look at it. Not intentional by any stretch, and not dangerous, and it ended with a player being kicked in the head. I have seen players sent off for a very similar act (a certain Colin Meads being one of them).

You have a nice day too mate, don't burst a blood vessel in your brain or anything like that.

PS: If you want to see an example of the "misuse" I speak of, take a look at my signature. That banner is there because what I wanted to put there was edited out by one of YOUR mods under YOUR instruction, so don't come the holier than thou "I'm only posting as a poster" crap with me. I know precisely how the editing of my signature came about, and I know precisely how people like you think, because I have dealt with your kind on a professional level all of my life!
