Wales v England - 10 days.

There was an article last year where Mays top speed over a 60m exceeded that of Usain Bolt(Think maybe telegraph?) while he was on grass. He has been working on his sprinting as he wants to be the fastest wing in the world apparently. Im not saying he would come close to bolt but puts into perspective hos 10.71 time from a good few seasons ago.

I also dont think showing May the touchline works as he is too quick. He doesnt have the best lines or hands so work him inside and make him work defensively.

I think Moriarty needs to start as he can rattle Farrell.

Farrell doesn't really get rattled by cheap shots, Moriarty tried before and Farrell just brushed it off and got straight back in the game

There are not many wingers who are solid in defence, their primary function is to score try's. May is doing this because of the armchair ride Farrell is getting his pack are allowing him time on the ball, so the problem is around their pack, in the two games I have seen their clean out at the tackle area is very good, The question therefore is can we slow down the tackle/breakdown so that we are able to pressure the Halfbacks.
I'm afraid we wont without a destructive BR which we don't have at the minute, I don't think England will win by a huge margin if they win at all, but I believe the odds are in their favour.

Yeah that was a sexy headline, but I think it was 40m from a flying start, which gave something like 10.79 m/s which they extrapolated to being quicker than Bolt's WR......assuming that he could keep it up over the full 100m and assuming that Bolt's standing start had no impact.....

Bolt's WR is 9.58 and from a flying start in a relay he's gone sub 9.

May's bloody quick and he's now one of the first names on the team sheet. There probably aren't any quicker wings in world rugby, but he can't be compared to good sprinters, let alone Bolt, who are naturally quicker and train exclusively for speed.

I quite clearly say he wouldnt come close to Bolt........

I think we see backline of
Youngs. GDavies
Farrell. Biggar
May. Adams
Manu. Parkes
Slade. JDavies
Nowell. Williams
Daly. Halfpenny

That woulx be 2 pretty decent back lines. But i think these could be pretty matched, the forwards will be where its won

Maybe it won't be such a cheap shot though? Will Farrell get rattled then? I reckon he'll get YC'd see!

There's far better options than Farrell to go at in that England team if you can, Daly, Youngs, Slade and May are more error prone. (I know May is good now but he's not infallible so back off!)

Problem is JDavies apart I don't thinks there's much difference between the Welsh choice I'd select over the English counterpart a SH and HB. Problem is FH, Wings and IC are all far superior to their Welsh counterparts.

I can hear the crying now if lawes cuts bigger in half

Halfpenny released to the scarlets. So that ends that debate. Wouldn't have tried him against England anyway with fitness in mind etc.

As in he will or won't be selected?

I'd have thought getting some game time under his belt would make it more likely he'd feature vs England,
He's not played in a long time and playing for Scarlets will benefit him more than an extra weekend in the Wales camp (which he has about a decade of experience of training under the coaches)

Was released to Scarlets with the offer of a game on the weekend for fitness....

I wouldnt want an off speed halfpenny starting. Takes sharpness to become a bomb diffuser. Stick with same back 3.
