Uncontested scrums and NH refs

As has been said on numerous occasions beforehand, scrums quite clearly cannot be policed properly. Three scrum resets, a chat to one set of front towers, another collapse and then a random penalty followed by a kick for goal. Meanwhile during this 5-10 minute period of inaction, I have safely gone to the loo, ordered a beer and pie, and returned to my seat without missing a beat. Only the diehard insomniacs seem to cherish these moments and with good reason.

I do hope sanzar grow some balls and start standing up to the IRB even if it means breaking away. For the good of the game they need to take union forward and stop allowing the IRB to use subjectivity in the games laws as a mechanism for bridging the gulf between NH and SH sides. The IRB "protected" (and I'm being kind here) England right through the 03 wc as an attempt to make union a world game. We know that but enough is enough. It's the unspoken elephant in the room at the end of most NH wins over SH sides and it has to stop because it's killing union as a spectacle.

Whatever happened to that lad who wanted to turn union into league?
No clue if he was serious but he was fantastic, really enjoyed his work if he was a troll.

I wonder if this would be the case if Australia had props instead of 3 year old girls at 1 and 3?

Good job that stopped doing that for us by the 2007 world cup then eh!.

What? Are you suggesting all scrums should be uncontested like in League?
Or are you suggesting nh refs don't know how to ref a scrum?
Or do you think that scrums shouldn't be reset or penalised, more an anything goes bit of the game?

What a genius idea you're just so smart. I suggest we go in the opposite direction where we just have scrums for 80 minutes and as the SH teams are so good they never drop the ball that there refs never need to ref scrums. We would need only NH refs.

I think he was being dead serious but as is English was apparently pretty poor I couldn't tell.

Sounds about the same yeah, that thread turned fun quick. We made references to american football and it ended up being a discussion about hot cheerleaders, if I'm not mistaken.
