Transfers rumours

not the first time there have been rumours of Richie Gray Sale deal being cancelled, and Cipriani just tweeted this so I think he will be at Sale

saracens really could do with richie gray. And it'd be far more sensible coming to us cos he gets to play in the HC and live in the south.

Well I think Borthwick is off next year .. They could use Gray

That said I hope he doesn't and Sherrif Gets a decent crack of the whip next year as he is being primed for

If you're trying to say that Watford is a more desirable location that anywhere in the universe (with the possible exception of Hades) you must be mad.

Apparently Dan Biggar's wanted by Racing as well. I want to say 'Go on, 'ave him!' but he's been playing well in the past few weeks, to be fair.

Everything I have heard points to Biggar wanting to stay for another year to try and make the Welsh side.
Racing and Toulon after Cuthbert, £330,000 per year!

Saracens already have signed a lock for next season anyway, Alistair Hargreaves of the Sharks

not official yet, but looks pretty certain

regarding Cuthbert, I think his try against France may have seriously upped his reputation and demand from the Top 14 teams

but watching him for the Cardiff Blues lately he still makes some poor handling errors, he needs to improve if he wants to start for the Lions

Lolz, Cuthbert won't be anywhere near the Lions. There must be at least 6 better wingers than him in the British Isles.

I think every team in the Premiership, nay the Northern Hemisphere, could do with Richie Gray. :p

For what it's worth, Gloucester have Jim Hamilton, Will James and Alex Brown. If anyone needed him... :(

Aye, I'm a bit puzzled why any Top 14 sides would want him going off of his club form (and partly his international form...).

Then again, Balshaw and Sackey made it in France, so they're not too fussy.

Balshaw fair enough, but I have to admit, I've never understood the bashing of Sackey. I thought he was pretty darn good in his time playing for England.
He was a good finisher, but didn't contribute massively - was just the flavour of the month at the time (much like Vainikolo and Monye)

Fair enough, I thought he was unlucky to be dropped unlike the other two (Vainikolo, Monye) at the time though.

At first Bryan Redpath (head coach of Gloucester) denied that he'd be moving to Sale:

But now there's a few places claiming that it's already sorted:

Walkinshaw saying that Gloucester haven't been approached about it at all (there are 2 years left on Brush's contract), so if it's true then it reflects badly on both Sale and Redpath. More worryingly is that Gloucester's next match is against Sale and could decide who gets HC rugby next season. Brush needs to release a statement asap so that if he is going, Glos can put a coach without a conflict of interest in charge for the remaining 2 games.

I agree that there are better British and Irish wingers than Cuthbert, but assuming Gatland is the coach I really wouldn't be surprised if he took him on the tour, all coaches will favour their personal favourites remember he took Andy Powell on tour ... even after this

also Shaun Edwards was talking about how good it is to have big backs recently, so if he is coach I reckon he would take Cuthbert in the squad over somebody like Earls, Hogg or Fitzgerald for example

Phillips could be another one to benefit from Gatland being coach as well

not saying Cuthbert or Phillips is better, just what I think a coaching team of Gatland/Edwards might opt for

Redpath was a good player for Sale, captained them to a European Challenge Cup victory one year I think, because of that he may be popular at Sale
