If we are anywhere near the cap I'd be utterly amazed. But we have MASSIVE financial issues.

We have loads out of contract this summer, including Argentinian Centre Orlando who I suspect will be away...maybe Rory Parata is his replacement.
Plus more academy lads...who should be taking the spots now.

And please God I hope the rumours Hammersley is coming back are BS....no thanks.

A lot of meh rumours there.

Ngatai would be a bit of a weird signing for Wasps. He's a very good player but he's knocking on 32 and injury prone. He also wouldn't be cheap and seems a bit superfluous given Odendaal is already in his way.

Ngatai seems like an agent looking for a deal and sounding out clubs who may have gaps in their squad. Wasps would be an odd one with Burger coming in as @BPM says. Rumour was we were still after a centre though. We are also in a position where we could be looking for another fullback as we haven't seen much of crossdale recently who most Wasps fans would think is starting fullback for us. Not sure whats going on there
 
Ngatai would fill a gap to be fair. Doubt he'd make a full strength 23 but we've thrown out some experimental midfield pairings this season.

I will not be happy with a signing until we get a 9 though, it's the weakest area of our squad and he's lost us games in three consecutive Heineken Cups imo.

As schoolboy and Uni player, was destined for Boks....did not reach full potential but still really good 10.

A waste to be honest. It is a position ye have superb strength and depth. Likes of Osbourne and Frawley will barely make 23 and more than capable.
Jenkins - Yes a clear weakness that Leinster lack is a big lump of a lock in the row, but centre no.

I think the experience is important. I'd have preferred it at 9 but after that centre and second row (where we've brought in a similar signing in Jenkins) are where we have the least depth.

We've definitely missed some old heads at times this season when the internationals are away. JOB and Ross Byrne aren't really taking on senior roles in that backline.

Not a massively exciting signing but it'll serve a purpose.
 
Did I read correctly that Dave Attwood is going back to Bath on a two years contract?
How olds he now?

No.
There's a rumour that he's returning to Bath, but it's likely to be a 1-year deal if at all.

No-one really knows yet if it's an actual negotiation, or a 2+2 from Bath saying we need a new lock, and Attwood saying he's out of contract, but doesn't want to stop playing. First mentions were certainly fans speculating, now local rag have picked it up, but they often do from fan speculation.

34 atm, 35 next week, so 37 at contracts end - definitely at the top end for a pro player but tighthead locks tend to last longer at the top level than other positions
Wouldn't be surprised if there was a coaching element to the contract, if it does happen - seems to be increasing in frequency these days (a good thing, IMO)
 
Strange one in UL this morning.

Not sure how true it is or what given the weekend that is in it. But have heard from 2 sources (and I in camp per se) that Stuart Lancaster wants top job here in Limerick.

Now I will add I don't think there is any truth as he is effectively in control in Dublin and Leo rumoured to be going next year means that gig is his if he wants it.

And he has excellent chemistry there with Leinster.
 
I will believe that one when I see it lol. Would be so out of left field. They may have their 'Ard Nurven Bastids' mixed up there.

We are dragging the arse out of the head coaching appointment though. Ticket has been rumored for around 3 months now.
