Would Murphy want to coach tigers after seeing the downfall of Dick Cock?
NopeIt's early doors yet but there have been very promising signs with how well he's handled the youngsters. He's been given free rein over the AWC games (which Tigers won) and they were pretty much the most positive aspect of the last couple of seasons. He might've been a fancy back but he gets the kids playing with proper aggression and physicality aswell. If he does look likely to take over at Blues you should watch the AWC game against a much stronger, more experienced Bath team last month for a blueprint of how he would look to play. Just ignore the scrums, ffs.

I hope it works out well for Leicester because they are a massive club. Also hope O'Connor has learned from his mistakes as Leinster coach when he didn't back the raft of promising youngsters who are now streaming through into the first team.
Most reasonable Leinster fans would note that losing Johnny Sexton and Isa Nacewa for a couple of years would have a negative effect on Leinster and an element of rebuilding was needed. What was galling was the putrid style of rugby employed. Skill levels dropped dramatically from Joe Schmidt's time as coach. The decision to pick players like Mick McGrath and Darragh Fanning over Adam Byrne, Rory O'Loughlin and Garry Ringrose in his second year was terrible. The former group are no longer playing pro rugby. The latter are all internationals now. He didn't give youth a chance to shine.Well in terms of that last point, i don't know what he will do with the academy players at Tigers, His biggest mistake when joining Leinster IMO was not realising the power of the IRFU compared to the RFU at the Prem that and not being able to have a 10 like Sexton.
... a positive move for him? I guess it's up the ladder.
Dragons also 'bidding for Quade Cooper' according to the BBC.
Talk of half a million a year for Quade Cooper, personally think that is madness for a player as unreliable as him, I agree with you regarding their pack, if they have that sort of money to tempt Cooper then half a mil a season would be better spent to secure a top class prop or lock...There isn't enough money for Quade and North apparently. It has to be one or tuther. I don't like either option. Wales have great depth at 10 for me. Dan Jones or Jason Tovey could both easily hold a starting berth down in my opinion, Jones having the greater potential upside. Jarrod Evans is also coming onto a game with Cardiff.
Surely the Dragon's priorities have to be up front?
wrong thread genius
"It's definitely something I've discussed with my family, one day being around in Ireland and being involved in one of the provincial set-ups. It's a goal but it may not happen so we'll have to wait and see."
I say we make the traitor Murphy do a full 40 years of redemption in the wilderness for playing with the forces of darkness.
Murphy is as much English as he is Irish............ (Not that i would dare tell him or any other irish person that to their face.....)
Having met him a few times. His home is Leicester and he credits them with everything. I don kbow on 1 occasion at least he turned down a bigger offer from IRFU to come to Ireland that Tigers offered.Murphy is as much English as he is Irish............ As you pointed out he is loyal and may well go gathering head coach experience but the end goal will ultimately be Welford Road
Being straight up he's a player well suited to TigersTigers could do with a POM.
Sam Hidalgo-Clyne linked to Newcastle Falcons, don't know how true it is. Also Opeti Fonua going back to Agen in France at the end of the season.
