Transfers rumours

Toulon and Bath are both in for him it sounds to much like the usual suspects has every player that has played a international game been linked to them.

Depends on the whole Cap situation. Carig can certainly afford it.

If it happened wonder if Saints may look at Houston?

Eh?

Toulon I can understand... Bath haven't been linked with very many players.

Aside from Burgess we're only known to be after a big name SH and back-rower (Genia and Vermeulen).
Not saying they're not big names - but we are in no way comparable to most of the top French sides, let alone Toulon.

Bath are linked with tons of players, but it's just because they're currently the club splashing the cash the most in England.
In previous seasons it'd be Saracens or Tigers, or even Bristol, that'd be brought up whenever a player is out of contract. Doesn't mean they're actually chasing the players.

Just so far this season Armitage, Albacete, Genia, Vermeulen and Dusatoir from the MO.

Didn't say they were chasing players, just that they are the usual suspects atm in terms of Media transfer speculation along with Toulon and RM.

With any luck Ashton goes to France that's 300k off the books never wanted him at sarries in the first place! With the new marquee player and the increase in the salary cap next season could see a few big signings hopefully for saints as well if the stories about all their players Hartley manoa pisi are true

If Ashton was to go then I could see us getting in a big big player. We probably need a 14/13.

You migh get a big player, but I don't think you'd necessarily buy in a winger.

Earle looked the goods in the JRWC.

I don't think we need a big winger we've got good players already don't know why they sold short he obviously wanted to go with no game time and Earle is immense people rave about Watson and rightly so Earle will be as good if not better so I think it will be a joiner to replace Brits whose getting on and burger brown Botha etc all these guys the wrong side of 30 now

I suspect Sarries will end up getting a world class player in whatever position they're able to pick one up tbh. They're difficult enough to get hold of that I suspect the one that can be got with the space freed by Ashton's going won't necessarily be in his position.

We currently have Strettle (31) Earle young but he looks great, Ellery god knows how he will go, then....Ransom and Tompkins out of position. @saryboy86 James Short went because he just can't defend, going forward done really well for us but I don't think we would be as good with him on the wing.
We need to replace Brits, Spurling looks good. Kelly Brown gets taken over from Itoje. Burger can be replaced by Hankin. Botha we need a big strong lock to replace him, Etzebeth would be brilliant after Launch signing a new contract and Stooke could be brilliant or Attwood ? Joubert could be replaced by Vermeulen/ Faletau ?

And Ashton is any better in defence?! And gets paid a lot more agree with all those players you've mentioned but a lot are unproven yet they need o be give a run out properly see how they go but eben would be good as would vermulen who knows what money they will have to splash post season with players leaving

Very unlikely.
Taulupe signed a three year contract in August of 2013 until June 2016.

Furthermore, he is probably in line for a dual contract between Newport and the WRU.

Lydiate, Tyler Morgan, Amos and Faletau are 4 out of the 12 who have signed central contracts expect more to be announced very soon.

No Ashton isn't much better, but is better under the ball and our kick and chase game.

on Faletau he's very unlikely but I still want him ;) if not a big backrower like Fonua (going Tigers) or Dickinson from Saints.

Dual contract list released.

We can reveal the initial men handpicked by Gatland include seven starters for Saturday's Millennium Stadium showdown with New Zealand.

They are the Ospreys trio of Alun Wyn Jones, Dan Biggar and Rhys Webb, their soon-to-be Liberty team-mate Dan Lydiate, plus prop Samson Lee (Scarlets), Lions No.8 Toby Faletau (Newport Gwent Dragons) and try-ace Alex Cuthbert (Cardiff Blues).

Also on the Gatland list are youngsters Rhodri Jones (Scarlets), Hallam Amos and Tyler Morgan (Dragons), plus Scarlets centre Scott Williams and Blues newcomer Gareth Anscombe.
Not sure if they know something we don't?
