Transfers rumours

A replacement for the retiring Jean Bouilhou?
Would be an excellent one. Dusautoir is a 'blindside' but I really don't think playing him and Lydiate together would be bad. Imagine Lydiate, Dusautoir and Picamoles/Maka... That is pain right there.

Jim Hamilton (Gloucester) ---> Racing Metro / Montpellier

Wencelas Lauret to Racing and Barrraque to Toulouse are being rumoured in Sud Oeust newspaper.......would not be surprised as Lauret is keen to get back his international place and is hard pressed to do that with BO. Barraque is a talent that is being wasted and misused by Isaacs....I am surprised that he has any confidence left and this showed on Friday night in deepest darkest Connemmara..........

Probably a 2 + 2 rumour but apparently Parling isn't extending a contract at the Tigers and along with Nick Kennedy is rumoured to come to Glos.

Whatever the case, Glos has to be signing a few locks (even for this season!). Of the three we have, Brown is out for the season, Hamilton rumoured to move and James is almost 36! I hope Garvey is on the radar. Doubt he'll stay at the Irish.

Apparently "ability to string 2 passes together" left Northampton by a mutually consented contractual release earlier this season, a surprising move which went under the radar.

Current whereabouts is unknown.

As I say, its rumoured that ability to string 2 passes together is no longer at Northampton!

Good deal for both player and club if true.

Agree. He is a decent play from what I've seen.
Could be a good option for Wales at inside centre. Offers size and skill. He is quite a good passer, and accurate with the boot.
Since the prodigal son Geraghty and now Armitage have made their returns, he sees the bench at the most.

Jordan Williams is out until around February, and Aled Thomas hardly sets the world alight.

So apparently Munster and Ulster both tried to suborn Henshaw. How much truth there is to that, hard to say...

Really?

Munster: Felix Jones & Denis Hurley

Ulster: Jared Payne & Peter Nelson

Bit disappointed in the Doc if true. We don't really need one, better for Henshaw, Connacht and Ireland if he stays out west and gets regular gametime.

With Connacht coming on leaps and bounds... maybe having a look at implementing HEC qualification from the Rabo isn't such a bad idea after all...

24 teams:
Top 7 English
Top 7 French
Top Irish in Pro12
Top Welsh in Pro12
Top Scottish in Pro12
Top Italian in Pro12
Top 4 Pro12 sides in the league (outside of those listed above)
HEC winner (their league gets an extra place)
Amlin winner

With the current 6 groups of 4 continuing.

Financial split to remain as is, it is a tournament run by the unions, not by the leagues.

Jonny May signed a new contract with Glos! Was convinced that he would be going to Quins/Saints/Sarries/Tigers, apparently all of them were preparing to make offers in January.
