Transfers 2015/16

Is it the Waratahs prop ? He's seems like a decent player in the loose but I never trust an Aussie prop in the scrum.

It's just a short term deal to help see Glasgow through the world cup through which we are going to loose a lot of players. To be fair Clegg has a good pedigree and has a Premiership winner's medal to his name.

We was pretty terrible at times for us though. And he's hardly made a mark up North...

Well just as well it's a short term deal then. Gives him a chance to remdeem himself a little if he's able to take it.

I thought he was going to become something great but has lost his way otherwise the likes of Quins and Newcastle would not be shipping him.

Hope this move benefits him and he starts to build on his talent.

Ben Williams: Bath --> Retirement (age 26)

Very sad, his body just seemed to be too fragile - went from one injury to the next.
He had quite a lot of potential, it would have been great to see what he was capable of given a run of games... alas...

I loved watching Rory Clegg for Newcastle this last year, he's one of those players that always looks like he's got hours of the time on the ball. Add to that his lankiness and ginger hair and he was lots of fun to watch. Problem was he was mainly used a substitute, with Falcons starting to bring home grown talent through (Tom Catterick, anyone?). I'd suspect he's moving for game-time and has been let go because of the amount of developmental options at Newcastle.

Clegg's main problem for Quins, if my memory serves me well, was his goal kicking. He was quite a tidy player ball in hand (although inconsistent and Quins were at their pomp then) but a lot of the time Clegg was involved, Quins started missing easy points. Don't know if that's still the case.
