Transfers 2015/16

Josh Jones: St Helens --> Exeter Chiefs

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/rugby-union/33161927

Not watched him that closely before, but he's looked pretty decent whenever I have.
Hadn't realised how young he was though - that is a pretty ****ing legit Nordic beard he's got.

Cam Dolan: Northampton Saints --> Cardiff Blues

Does the transfer deadline mean that the French have completed their signings for the summer?

Just had a look on wiki there. It might not be 100% accurate but there are over 30 foreign players coming into the French league than leaving!

Compare that to about 6 in the AP and one or two in the Pro 12... although I expect plenty more foreigners to arrive over the summer and after the world cup.

Yes the transfer window is now closed but medical jokers are still allowed and the two promoted clubs have still another month to complete theirs.

Wow, Harlequins and London Irish have done some great business, i think next season could be Irish's season to get up in that top 6.. PS: I love the french teams, more Galactico teams please!

Premiership is going to be super competitive.

I agree that Quins, Irish and also chiefs have done some great business.
Wasps have signed lots of high profile players but such is the competitiveness that the following 15 is far from a guarantee of top 4 position:

1) Mullan
2) Smashley
3) Cittadini
4) B. Davies
5) Launchbury
6) Haskell
7) Smith
8) Hughes

9) Simpson / Robson
10) Gopperth / Jackson
11) Halai
12) Leiua / Tapuai (strongly rummoured)
13) Daly
14) Wade
15) Masi / Miller

Two things.
Clontarf centre Matt D'Arcy to Munster (as picked up on by Munstermuffin). Good club player in a position of need for a 3 month contract. Low risk, worth a shot

Irish qualified league centre Api Pewhairangi (doesn't get more Irish than that) from the NRL to Connacht. Interestingly he's played for Ireland in League already. No idea on this guy, maybe someone else does.

Mildly pedantic but 15s don't win top 4 positions, squads do; that and low international representation, particularly in a WC season. It's why I think Exeter are potentially very well poised for next season, as Lancaster doesn't really seem to like their players.

Most of their players weren't upto standard. LCD, Nowell and Slade have all received callups, and I'd not be shocked to see all 3 included in the 31. 3 isn't bad representation at all, add in Francis likely going to show for Wales and they'll be missing a few key guys.

Are side will probably be top 7 tops
1.Court
2.Paice/Cruse
3.Franks
4.Symons
5.Rouse/Skivs
6.Guest/Trayfoot
7.Cowan/ Gilsenan
8.Trev
9.Steele/ Mckibbin
10.Noakes/Goode/Geraghty
11.Fenby
12.Griffin/ Waldouck
13. Mulchrone/ Fowlie
14. Lewington/Tikorituma
15. Maitland

Mckibbin is a good signing cause he gives us another kicking option. However we are still short at 12 but that back three could cause havoc. Agree with Raggs also considering I didn't mention Sisi or Aulika are squad isn't bad and a lot of are lot aren't international. Also think clubs will rely a lot on younger guys this year.

A lot of players involved aren't up to standard! Hill and Ewers can both feel aggrieved when they look at the initial squad, and I don't think anyone would have batted an eyelid to see Waldrom there. LCD's going, but that won't bother them too much if Yeandle stays fit, and Nowell's going but they're used to his absence now. Parling's going, and with Mumm gone, they'll feel that one... Slade's the 50-50 and the one that'll hurt them most.

And yeah, that's a decent whack, but when you look at the number of guys that the top 4 will lose, it looks pretty good for them.

boo ooh :cryy:more foreigners ..which amount (if that figure is correct?) to 2 players per club..

La Belle France!!!!!!! wine, women, and song plus quite nice cheese, full stadiums etc etc. and a little rugby to boot, can you blame them and apparently they are quite well paid !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Could we just maybe set up an automated *****y response anytime anyone has the gall to mention French rugby just to save this guy doing it. Honestly it's a harmless and interesting transfer stat in a transfer thread.

Or we could hire someone to stand next to him a slap him everytime he tries to post the same **** ....
